The Authentic Persian-Turkish Home Cooked Meal from Kadbano by @sahar_khambata is a delight to the taste buds! Order the 4-course meals planned as an experiential introduction to Persian and Turkish cuisine, through Sahar’s origins in Iran and living in Turkey. The meal comprised of a soup, starter, main course, dessert and a refreshing drink to go with it - a complete and fulfilling experience for the senses. What’s more, everything was sent in beautiful serving dishes, packed carefully and ready to eat, without any unnecessary waste creation. We began with the Kirmizi Mercimek Çorbasi, a delicious, velvety textured Turkish lentil soup, topped with a fragrant mint oil. The appetiser was Kookoo Sabzi- a Persian frittata with cheese, walnuts and a mix of five leafy vegetables. The main course was Zereshk Polo, a highly aromatic saffron rice with sweet and sour barberries, served with Morgh Ghermezi - tender chicken, cooked in BCw tomato base with saffron. Salad Shirazi, a lemony fresh vegetable salad topped with dry mint was eaten as a side dish, with a burst of freshness and Doogh - a chilled savoury persian drink made with yogurt &, mint was enjoyed alongside. The sweet ending was with Tatli, a delicious Turkish cake soaked overnight in a special milky concoction and topped with a light chocolate sauce.
