On our way back to Mumbai, we wanted to eat some nice non veg food and were searching for a good place. Saw “ Kolhapuri Thaat” closer to the Mumbai Expressway and decided to check it out. It’s a lovely cosy restaurant with Bamboo interiors. Being a Thursday, the place was not crowded and we got a place to sit immediately, We ordered Mutton Masala Thalis as well as Mutton Fry Thalis with one of us ordering Veg food. We were served Pandhra Rassa which was just as good as the typical one you get in Kolhapur which heightened our expectations. Within some time, our Thalis were served with hot Chapati ( amazing), Tambda Rassa, Egg curry besides the main dish. Loved every bit. The food was well cooked , not very spicy & tasted absolutely authentic. The service too is worth a mention. The Table matts are creatively made with whacky lines & also debunking some myths ( such as Kolhapuri food doesn’t mean spicy, it’s a taste). We were also recommended Kharda Mutton- very tasty but a bit spicy. The Sol kadhi was perfectly balanced - not too thick nor watery. Gulab jamun was served hot & was soft and tasty. There was lots to eat but unfortunately we were too full so need to visit this place again for sure. Parulkars have done a great job by introducing Kolhapuri food in Pune which is going to take the...

If you’re craving authentic Kolhapuri cuisine in Pune, Kolhapuri Thaat is the place to be. I recently had the Kolhapuri Thali here, and I can confidently say—this is hands down the best Kolhapuri food in Pune.

From the moment the thali was served, I knew I was in for a treat. The variety was impressive—rich, spicy curries, perfectly cooked mutton and chicken dishes, and traditional accompaniments like tambda and pandhra rassa that packed a flavorful punch. The spice level was just right—fiery enough to satisfy a Kolhapuri food lover, but still balanced and deeply aromatic.

What stood out to me was the authenticity in every bite. The flavors were bold and unapologetically true to Kolhapuri roots. The bhakri was fresh, the thecha had the perfect kick, and even the solkadhi was refreshingly spot-on.

The staff was warm and attentive, and the ambience had a rustic, home-style charm that added to the whole experience.

If you’re a fan of Maharashtrian cuisine or just want to try something truly flavorful, Kolhapuri Thaat is a must-visit. This place doesn’t just serve food—it serves tradition on a plate. Highly...

25/12/22 - It's my 5th time, have been here in the last 4 months. Same taste, same quality and quantity. Best service as experienced at 1st visit. Special thanks to the cook team and Karan for quick service and polite behavior. _

Excellent taste and service. Would love to suggest this place for every Kolhapuri nonveg thali lover. The best Tambda Pandhra rassa in PCMC right now.

Authenticity: 10/10 Proper Kolhapuri taste after so long time in PCMC. I have been living here for the last 6-7 years and almost have tried all Kolhapuri thali's around. Here I got the best Kolhapuri taste in all menus of Thali.

Service: 10:10 As we Kolhapuri ppl expect, the waiter keeps serving Hot Rassa till we stop him.😅✌And in addition to that, they serve a bowl of Pandhra rassa till the order arrives at the table. The servers are happy and polite.

Ambiance: 10/10 Best place for both families and non-family ppl.

Hygiene: 10/10

Good luck "Kolhapuri That"! Good beginning. 👍👍 Hope to get the same taste every time we visit in the...

If you're craving authentic Maharashtrian flavors with a rustic village ambiance, Kolhapuri Thaat is a must-visit. The service is prompt and friendly, adding to the overall welcoming experience. The highlight here is undoubtedly the mutton thalis – flavorful, hearty, and satisfying. The mutton ghee roast and mutton chops stand out with their rich, perfectly spiced taste. While the tambda and pandhra rassa may not match the depth of traditional Kolhapuri spice levels, they still deliver a very enjoyable flavor profile. Vegetarians won’t feel left out – the veg thalis are well-balanced and delicious, making this place a great option for mixed groups. To top it off, it's budget-friendly, making it perfect for casual outings with friends or family. A solid pick for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Maharashtrian cuisine without burning a hole in their pocket.

We visited "Kolhapuri Thaat" and tried 2 Chicken Masala Thalis and 1 Kala Masala Chicken Thali. The pandhara rassa and tambda rassa were served unlimited, while the rest of the items were in limited portions. The thali quantity was just right for one person — filling and satisfying. A big shoutout to Captain Karan, who ensured excellent service with a smile and took care of all our requests very patiently. Despite the restaurant being almost 80% full, the service was quick and well managed. Only small suggestion would be to make the chicken masala vati in a thali a bit spicier to match the authentic Kolhapuri punch. That said, the overall taste was unique and flavorful, clearly standing out with its regional authenticity. Highly recommend this place if you want to experience Kolhapuri-style food done right. Definitely worth it!
