Today we visited Maharashtra Lunch Home in Wakad, Pune — and honestly, it was one of the best seafood dining experiences I’ve had in a long time! After home-cooked food, this is one of those rare places where you truly feel the freshness and authenticity in every bite.

We ordered their special seafood thalis, and each one was a complete coastal treat! The thali came with perfectly grilled or fried fish served on banana leaves, soft chapatis, delicious solkadhi, tangy fish curry, spicy sukka masala, and freshly sliced onions with chutney on the side. We recently visited Maharashtra Lunch Home, and it turned out to be an outstanding experience from start to finish. We ordered a variety of dishes – Crab Lollypop, Bharlela Bombil, Surmai Hirwa Masala, Clams (Tisrya) Mangalorean Sukka, and Mutton Kheema Fry served with Wade and Bhakri and caramel custard. Each dish was cooked to perfection – the crab was crispy and flavorful, the stuffed bombil was melt-in-the-mouth, the surmai in green masala was rich and aromatic, and the tisrya sukka had the perfect balance of spice and texture. The mutton kheema with wade was the ultimate comfort food.

The service was excellent, quick, and very attentive, making the entire dining experience smooth and enjoyable. The ambience is warm, welcoming, and comfortable, perfect for family or friends to enjoy a relaxed meal.
