Title: Mhavra - The Malvani Fish House: A Paradise for Seafood Lovers
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)
Review:
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Mhavra - The Malvani Fish House, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations when it comes to seafood delights. This hidden gem is a paradise for seafood lovers, and I highly recommend it to anyone craving an authentic Malvani culinary experience.
The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the fish starter. The restaurant offers a tantalizing array of options, each showcasing the freshness and flavor of the sea. From crispy fried calamari to succulent prawn kebabs, every bite was a burst of maritime bliss. The fish was perfectly cooked, retaining its tenderness and complemented by a delightful blend of spices that enhanced its natural taste.
The star of the menu, however, was the Surmai thali. It was a feast fit for a seafood connoisseur. The thali featured a generous portion of perfectly fried Surmai (King Mackerel), accompanied by an assortment of delectable sides. The fish was incredibly fresh, flaky, and packed with flavor. The tangy and aromatic Malvani masala used in the preparation elevated the taste to new heights. The thali also included traditional accompaniments like solkadhi, rice bhakri (flatbread), and flavorsome seafood curries. Each component was thoughtfully crafted and showcased the rich culinary heritage of Malvani cuisine.
Apart from the remarkable food, Mhavra also impressed me with its warm and attentive service. The staff was knowledgeable about the dishes and offered helpful recommendations. The ambience was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect place for a relaxed dining experience with friends and family.
Overall, Mhavra - The Malvani Fish House left an indelible mark on my taste buds and culinary memory. It's undoubtedly one of the best seafood establishments I've had the pleasure of visiting. Whether you're a seafood enthusiast or simply looking for a memorable dining experience, Mhavra is the place to be. I can't wait to return and savor their exceptional fish...
Read moreRecently we visited Mhavra – The Malavani Fish House! We ordered the Prawns Thali and Bangda Fish Thali – both were full of authentic Malvani flavor, but we personally liked the prawns thali a bit more. The seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked. A big bonus: they serve unlimited solkadi, which was refreshing and delicious!
The food is not just tasty, it’s also reasonably priced, which is a big plus. You really get good value here.
The ambiance is aesthetic and cozy, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal. Plus, the staff is super polite and quick with service, which made our visit even better.

Read moreVisited this restaurant for lunch and enjoyed the seafood. Had ordered fish fry (masala & rawa) out of which masala fry was good but rawa fry was just fish with a coating of rawa & without much seasoning. Crab masala had a flavourful taste, also prawns curry was very good with big prawns and sufficient quantity for 2. Preparations cannot be called 100% authentic but you will love the taste. Pricing is reasonable and not too overpriced. Ambience is okay-ish and is located in a residential area so no specific parking available but can be done across the street on any nearby lane. Overall would rate it 2nd best restaurant for seafood in...
