New Poona Bakery ( Superstore Factory Outlet ) — Restaurant in Maharashtra

While I had good experience earlier with Poona Bakery at Bhumkar Chowk , I am compelled to share this one event or total ignorance and pathetic service by them . I did ordered a cake 🎂 for my friends birthday by visiting them in person, two days in advance. I spent almost 45minutes at the store to explain the design and place the order and even made the around half of the payment in advance. Also took their number and asked them to keep it ready in evening the 2nd next day. Now a day and a half later , birthday evening was there. I went there to pick the cake. Imagine what they told me !

THEY FOGOT TO MAKE THE CAKE. Yes! THEY FORGOT TO MAKE THE CAKE.

Imagine this.. And infuriated and deeply frustrated , when I asked them to refund , some accountant said that he will have to "ASK" the manager if he can refund the money or not.

Such pathetic, non sense and careless attitude.

Finally , I returned empty handed, to my friends birthday deeply embarrassed and disappointed because of such unprofessional service. I was a regular customer and then I left Poona Bakery...

I have been here quite frequently now, and I still haven't tasted there all the pastries, lol. Pastries here are really good although I won't say the same for cake,bought choco truffle cake. In my opinion, truffles near Dmart offer better product when it comes to cake at same cost, bought same chocolate truffles here as well. Besides pastries there are whole different varities of patties and namkeen and bakery products available from rusk to bun etc. They have a small juice shop just outside in the verandah of the shop which offers almost all kind of fruit juice which are available in the season. In my recent experience I typical like choco marvel more over than zebra pastries ( felt pretty stiff). I have had patties here as well and they are good. Payment option varies from cash to credit card to paytm. So no worries when I don't carry cash. They have a small sitting area for quick bite. Overall a good shop, it's pretty clean and has decent...

It's a superstore in itself as per the name on the shop. Cakes are too yummy from NPB. Specialties cake Rasmalai Cake a must try. Pastry, cookies, small pizza, veg puff, samosa etc are available as Fresh for quick bite. You have superstore to buy daily groceries and stuff here. Like a small Mart. Icecream, cold drinks, dry snacks, toiletries, sweets, breakfast cereals etc are available at a small discount too. New additions in NBP is the Haldiram outlet inside it. So Nagur Santa barfi you can buy here and enjoy the Nagpur orange flavour in Pune. Snacks in Haldiram is stocked a bit late around 11am. Packed Haldiram sweets and Namkeen are sold here which is not easily found in local shops. Shop is located near Bhumkar chowk on the road towards Hinjewadi circle and Marunji after the Y junction. Temperature check is done while entering the shop during this pandemic....
