My recent visit to Hotel Nisarg in Pune left me with an incredibly satisfying culinary experience, particularly when it comes to their Misal. This establishment has undoubtedly earned its reputation as serving the best Misal in the city.

The Misal at Hotel Nisarg is nothing short of extraordinary. Priced reasonably, this flavorful dish packs a punch of authentic Maharashtrian flavors that will leave you craving for more. The Misal is a medley of sprouts, spices, and a rich, aromatic gravy that is poured over the crispy farsan (fried savory mix) and topped with finely chopped onions, fresh coriander, and a squeeze of lime. The balance of flavors is impeccable, with the right amount of spiciness and tanginess that tantalize your taste buds with every bite.

What sets Hotel Nisarg's Misal apart from the rest is the attention to detail and the quality of ingredients used. The sprouts are perfectly cooked, retaining their crunchiness, and the spices are blended harmoniously, resulting in a well-rounded flavor profile. The farsan adds an enjoyable crunch to the dish, providing a delightful textural contrast.

The Misal is accompanied by pav (bread rolls) or bhakri (a traditional Indian bread) to soak up all the flavorful gravy. The pav at Hotel Nisarg is soft and fluffy, making it an ideal companion to the Misal. The combination of the two creates a memorable eating experience that showcases the authentic taste of Maharashtra.

The ambiance of Hotel Nisarg is cozy and inviting, creating a comfortable space for diners to enjoy their meal. The staff members are friendly and attentive, providing prompt service and ensuring that all customers' needs are met. The cleanliness and hygiene standards of the restaurant are commendable, further adding to the overall positive dining experience.

If you are a fan of Misal and find yourself in Pune, a visit to Hotel Nisarg is an absolute must. Their Misal is unmatched in terms of flavor, quality, and authenticity. Whether you prefer your Misal mild or spicy, Hotel Nisarg offers options to cater to various taste preferences. Prepare yourself for a culinary journey through the vibrant flavors of Maharashtra and indulge in the best Misal that Pune...

Total 5 points :

A. Location

The place is located at a good place as transportation is easy and also there are other shops(sweet store, medical store, utensil, other food vendors, etc.) too on the opposite side of the road. Also there is a BOM ATM nearby incase you need cash(restaurant accepts card without any extra charge on the final bill).

B. Ambience and crowd

The ambience is quiet ok as the hotel serves only one dish. The place where you will sit will be cleaned. when there is rush you might have to wait for 15-20 minutes. There is sitting for 8 or for 4 people. If in case there is rush and you are two in number, you might have to share.

C. Food

It serves misal and it is very good and spicy some times but you have lemon for that 😉. A container containing the curry (also called sample) will be kept for you take as much you want, this might not be the case in case of heavy rush. The PAV though is very soft and one can eat it alone. For drinks you can have coldrink or Taak. from personal experience i prefer taak but mostly people prefer coldrink bcoz they need some chillness in their stomach after the heat of the misal.

D. Staff

The man behind the cash counter is very humble and kind. The serving staff is also very generous and kind. Incase of rush if you order a particular coldrink make sure that the item you ordered is same as the server has heard.( speaking from personal experience, might not happen with everyone or...

Nisarg Misal is a highly renowned misal shop known for its popularity. However, my experience at the establishment left me somewhat disappointed. The wait times were often between 5 to 10 minutes, indicating the high demand for their misal.

Unfortunately, the taste of the misal itself felt average. It lacked the authentic flavors and depth that one would expect from a place with such fame. Additionally, a key disappointment was the absence of matki (sprouted moth beans) in the misal. Instead, only farsan (savory snacks) was served, which further detracted from the overall experience.

The quality of the taak (buttermilk) was below average, failing to leave a lasting impression. On the other hand, the solkadhi was decent but not exceptional. It is worth mentioning that due to the large crowd, the service felt slow and sluggish, leading to a less than satisfactory dining experience.

Another drawback was the limited parking space available, which made it challenging to find a spot and added inconvenience to the visit.

Considering the hype and fame surrounding Nisarg Misal, my overall opinion is that it did not live up to expectations. The taste of the misal was average, the absence of matki was disappointing, and the service was affected by the overwhelming crowd. Consequently, I found it difficult to justify the immense popularity of this...

If I can give a negative rating I will give negative 10 to this place. Waste of money, waste of time to get the table. Worst taste that I have ever had after a long wait. Today I visited this place with so much excitement as it's famous and there is always a waiting outside this place so I was very curious and excited to taste misal here. But when we entered the place after a long wait I went through the very worst situation that the owner of this place asked people to sit together. The owner is very Greedy for money as he is asking random people to sit together and enjoy the misal on one table. LOL We are paying a lot here for the misal which doesn't even have a taste. I will suggest going to mayur misal best place and it's just in front of nisarg misal. And the worst case is there is hair in our misal, though he replaced the misal but no hygiene. Pav is served which was like yesterday made. I will never suggest going to this place. I am not going to visit again. Batata bhaji is not that good It tastes the same as our Vada pav thele wala. No uniqueness in taste.
