“ONE OF THE BEST HOME MADE FOOD”
This is one of the best Home made Food joint I ever had, both for non-veg or veg food. Located in Lonavala, Maharashtra, India, after crossing the Lonavla Market there is a hotel by the name of Hari International. Next to it there is a lane which goes inside. Enter than lane and on the right hand side on an iron gate you would find this joint / hotel. The owner Shaila Phase urfa Shaila Tai (as she is popularly known) has created this place quite like a home. The heart of any restaurant, THE KITCHEN, is the most clean kitchen I have seen ever. The ladies in the kitchen are all housewives who cook such tasty food that you would keep licking your fingers. This place is non air-conditioned and it suits well for the simple and gentle ambience. You get the feeling as if you are eating at home. The working staff is well educated and well taken care by the owner herself. I usually relish on the non veg menu but there are good mesmerizing veg food like bharali vaangi (stuffed brinjal), dalimbi (thick gravy of beans) and the usual batatyachi bhaaji (potato vegetable) Non veg lovers can relish on anything and everything. But guys please try and make it early or some of you favourite dishes can get over and there is no re-making atleast for that day as the owner believes in no wastage of food and serving only fresh food. A must visit place for food when you are in...
Read moreLately, Google reviews have been consistently diverting us to terrible places. Joshi's was one of them.
This place can house max 30 people. Waiting time of 20 minutes is guaranteed. They have just a one pager menu which includes breakfast, veg and non veg options.
We ordered rotis (bhakri needs to be ordered 2 hours in advance 🤣) mutter paneer, Dal fry, chicken masala, chicken dry, papads and Sol Kadi.
To us the cook seemed on notice period. Paneer, Dal, Chicken all were watery, plain, uninspired and just regulative. Terrible way to spend a lovely afternoon...
Read moreVery good food. Nice place. Old place look. Quick service. Had ordered Surmai fish fry, Chicken dry, Prawns masala, roti and chaas. Fresh Lemon pieces, onions, pickle and salt were complimentary. Food was very tasty and fresh. Surmai fish fry was delicious, but at Rs. 300/- per single piece, I felt was a little expencive. The slice itself was also not very thick, though it was from a big fish. But taste wise, the food was very good. Would recommend people to visit it definitely. Vegetarian options were also available. Good place to go when...
