Uncle Da Dhaba — Restaurant in Maharashtra

Uncle Da Dhabha, a popular restaurant that has attracted a steady stream of customers every evening, was once known as Lee Chef at a different location. Intrigued by the constant praises I had heard about this place, I decided to visit for the first time. As expected, the place was bustling with activity, a clear indication of its popularity. I ordered a variety of dishes, including masala papad, paneer angara, garlic naan, chapati, steamed rice, dal tadka, and a blueberry cake for dessert. The masala papad was a bit of a letdown as it lacked the usual shev topping that many restaurants offer. However, the green chutney served with it was a delightful surprise, bursting with fresh and tangy flavors. The garlic naan had slightly burnt edges, which is typical of tandoor-cooked bread, but it still had a good flavor. The paneer angara, which was supposed to be spicy, fell short on heat. The spice level was much lower than expected, making it a better option for those who are not fond of intense spiciness. While the flavors were good, I personally craved a stronger kick. The dal tadka was enjoyable, but the steamed rice was bland and lacked salt, which was a bit disappointing. However, the highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the blueberry cake. It was perfectly sweet, soft, and packed with rich, fruity flavor—definitely the best part of the evening. The total bill came to around 1200 INR. We as family love to have dinner many times here. No doubt food is very good. But this time I experienced extremely bad behaviour of the Owner who made bad gestures towards customers, favouring his wrongdoer staff. It is very annoying to fight for Rs 260/- but how can one pay for the item not served. Finally the staff agreed for their mistakes and Owner had no word to say. Though food is better than many restaurants and atmosphere is pleasant too, I will not recommend this place for dinner due to worst service I ever experienced including the compliance from the Owner. it was excellent experience altogether. better half and her team visited this dhaba enroute from Gadchiroli after Medical camp. They ordered many items from starters to dessert. In starters they ordered Cheese Corn Balls and Paneer Tikka roll. It was excellent. Soya Chap and Paneer Tikka was ordered alongwith rotis and Jeera rice. all food items were delicious.
