Two bad experiences, 2-3 years apart. Nothing changed.
We had been to Namaskar Nx just before the COVID lockdowns. Had a very bad experience. Order was mixed up. The staff was least bothered and we had to leave after having just one starter.
Fast forward to Feb 2023. We went with "hope" of things would have improved.
We ordered 3 starters. One comes within 10 minutes. We are happy. They have changed.
BUT NO... We then wait for another 30 minutes for the other starters. During that time they tell us, "oh it is tandoor so taking time."
We wait... after another 10 minutes the waiter has the audacity to come and tell us "Sorry, that mushroom babycorn seekh kebab is NOT available. I just got to know from the kitchen". So, what was on the "tandoor" which was taking time?
So, after nearly 50 minutes of waiting, and following up with them all we could eat was one tiny starter between 3 people.
That shows the lack of care for customers and the basic lack of management overall that they don't know if an order can be fulfilled or not and make the customer wait. And even after follow ups they keep telling... it is coming, 10 mins... it is coming... 10 mins.
We wasted an hour... left after paying for that one starter... Same thing as our first experience at Namaskar Nx.
The hotel might have good food, or good ambience, but the staff is useless, careless and they lack coordination.
I now understand their tagline... "Count the memories and not calories"... See, I can only count these two memories of Namaskar, since I had no food to actually get any calories 🤔!
All in all, NOT RECOMMENDED, especially if you plan to go there for any kind of celebration.
The owner or the manager was the only one who showed some amount of concern, but then nothing beyond that but didn't do much either.
Overall ZERO stars and of course, not...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Namaskar NX, a restaurant located in Mira Road, known for serving some of the best seasonal food and a variety of non-vegetarian dishes. My experience there was nothing short of exceptional.
AmbianceThe restaurant boasts a warm and inviting ambiance, with a comfortable seating arrangement and tasteful decor that enhances the dining experience. The staff is courteous and attentive, ensuring that guests feel welcomed and well-served throughout their meal. Surmai Tawa Fry: The Surmai Tawa Fry was a highlight of my meal. The fish was fresh and perfectly cooked, with a crispy exterior and a tender, juicy interior. The spices used were well-balanced, giving it a delightful flavor that was neither too overpowering nor too mild.
Prawns Tawa Fry : Next, I tried the Prawns Tawa Fry. The prawns were succulent and cooked to perfection. The dish was flavorful, with a wonderful blend of spices that complemented the natural sweetness of the prawns. It was served hot and made for a delightful appetizer.
Butter Garlic Chicken : The Butter Garlic Chicken was another standout dish. The chicken was tender and juicy, cooked in a rich, buttery garlic sauce that was simply irresistible. The flavors were well-integrated, and the dish had just the right amount of garlic to enhance the overall taste without overwhelming it.
Fish Thali : The Fish Thali was a comprehensive and satisfying meal. It included a variety of items, each prepared with great care and attention to detail. The fish curry was flavorful, with a perfect blend of spices and a rich, creamy gravy. The accompaniments, including rice, Puri , gulab jamun and a variety of side dishes, were all fresh and delicious, making for a well-rounded and fulfilling...
Read moreI don’t usually leave harsh reviews, but this restaurant really tested my patience and tolerance. From the moment we walked in, the experience was disappointing. The staff barely acknowledged us — it took ages just to get a menu, and even longer for someone to actually take the order. The waiters were completely inattentive, busy chatting among themselves instead of doing their jobs. Every single request had to be repeated multiple times before anyone bothered to respond. The service was not just slow — it was careless and indifferent.
And the food… honestly, it felt like they’d given up trying. The fried rice was a flavorless mess — bland, dry, and completely lacking seasoning or aroma. The chicken chilly was so dry and chewy it was almost inedible, like it had been sitting around for hours before serving. The chicken Kolhapuri, which should’ve been rich and spicy, didn’t even taste like Kolhapuri — it was watery, dull, and totally off balance. The soup was the only thing that was okayish, but even that couldn’t save the meal.
Cleanliness is another huge issue here. The tables weren’t wiped properly, the floor looked unkempt, and the overall hygiene gave off a bad impression from the start. The atmosphere was equally dull — dim lighting, stale air, and zero vibe. It honestly felt more like a neglected mess hall than a restaurant that cares about its customers.
Overall, this place is a total letdown. Poor service, bland food, unhygienic surroundings, and a staff that clearly doesn’t care — what more could go wrong? If you’re expecting a decent dining experience, do yourself a favor and stay away. There are countless better options around where your money and taste buds won’t be so brutally...
