KFC — Restaurant in Mizoram

I need to edit my 3 years old review abt this place. First of all, I am not a foodie.. I am just a hardcore KFC fan, who during my college days rode through 3 states from Haryana -Himachal- Uttarakhand(Dehradun) multiple times with Bike covering KM 250 both ways just to eat KFC. So, I am not comparing this restaurant with any other franchise coz I have no idea abt any other restaurant or franchise. However, I am comparing it with the usual KFC standards. Been here thrice recently ( between 20th May.2023- 3rd June. 2023), and I am shocked to see how the Mizo society as a whole are taken for granted, who barely complains abt the quality of products that we bought from brand franchise. During my last 3 visits, Pepsi was flat, yup.. like a black sweet normal water with no Soda. I was able to provide feedback to the manager and request for replacement, which she did with different drinks after she personally taste it from their machine. Yup... It was flat even for the manager. However, they serve the same drinks to the rest .. and yes Mizo people seldom complains. We don't want to be a petty person. But, its not a charity and we paid a really high price for a drinks which is available at the next shop at half a price for the same amount. I wonder what would happen if such pathetic beverage are serve in Delhi or Chandigarh, not for a day but for a span of more than 13 days. I can imagine angry customers shouting and complaining abt...

All good except how you pack the soft drinks for take away! If you are seeing this review, you might remember me hesitating to include this soft drink on take away though i paid the full amount. How am i supposed to carry these type of cans?! Please provide better closed cans or big bottle. Eco friendly paper bag and cans wont do good imo. Its never been friendly to carry. Anyway all the cans here spilled and i couldn’t drink. The last time i made an order, you were kind enough to replace the soft drink with french fries, when i hesitated to carry the soft-drinks due to this issue. So its a humble request to change the type of paper cans you provide for take out. Its useless. Else i will keep on hesitating these type of cans. I may have to walk home, if i really need to drink this.

I saw many reviews pointing out food poisoning! Let me honestly say my review, im here in aizawl as part of my work since 2018. Since then aizawl kfc is just the same. The taste has ups and downs. Since this was the only option i had for better chicken, this is my regular spot. I too had stomach pain at night after having kfc and usually ends up with loose motion. So later on i came to know that mayonnaise and cola together is not good for the stomach. Since then i mostly use either of the one.i haven’t developed this same problem from anywhere else. The high price is not worth the experience. The food was okay, it wasn't too bad but nothing compared to other kfc in other states in India. The less expensive foods were very small, it would only be good for an appetizer. Although its common for employee's to recommend foods with higher price, here they kept on insisting that what I bought was too less and that I should buy more expensive food, even after I denied their request several times this was repeated. Which made the experience worse. The rules and regulations needed to be followed during the pandemic wasn't followed at all, in fact the place was flooded with people and the order took longer than expected. All in all, I would recommend this place if there's nowhere else you can buy chicken or burger. Just because its kfc does not mean it...
