The Mizoram State Museum in Aizawl is a must-visit for anyone interested in the rich culture and history of Mizoram. Located in the heart of the city, the museum houses a fascinating collection of traditional Mizo artifacts, textiles, weapons, and historical documents.

The displays are well-organized, providing deep insights into the indigenous tribes, their lifestyle, and their artistic heritage. The section on Mizo customs, festivals, and ancient tools is especially interesting. The staff is helpful, and the overall atmosphere is calm, making it a great place for learning and exploration.

If you're visiting Aizawl, this museum is a great stop to understand the unique traditions and history of Mizoram. Highly recommended for history buffs, students, and culture...

Every parent must send their children to Museums to understand their history and heritage. Because it is far better to see things in real instead of reading in Books. This is a very small museum as compared the other state museums but still it is full of interesting things. From the heritage of different tribes of Mizoram to all the bamboo and cane made things. My favourite part is the baskets section. Where I have seen that almost every type of container or a utility basket was made of bamboo or cane in tribal culture. As it is very small so it won’t take more than 1.5 hrs if you read most the labels on the artifacts. Staff is good and helping.

I strongly recommend all locals and tourists to pay a visit to this historic 'Mizoram State Museum. You'll definitely get to know the roots, history afterall. Even myself I'm amazed with the display and improves knowledge about my roots. It was all dark as there was no electricity at the time of our visit. Yet the receptionist was kind enough to take only Rs 10/- per head and free of charge for the camera. Despite all this, we went through each display one by one and I'm extremely grateful for this amazing opportunity. I would like to come back here in the future with proper lightings🙏💚🎀 It's truly a must visit place for everyone!

Beautiful Asset of State and the Northeast inside the museum. This is multistory building having every aspect of Mizoram and Northeast lifestyle, its History, culture, tradition and many more. Its a beautiful museum and the best part is you can do photography inside it. That's amazing. The artifacts protected scientifically and displayed in a very descent manner. The staff is very cooperative and helpful.
