Every parent must send their children to Museums to understand their history and heritage. Because it is far better to see things in real instead of reading in Books. This is a very small museum as compared the other state museums but still it is full of interesting things. From the heritage of different tribes of Mizoram to all the bamboo and cane made things. My favourite part is the baskets section. Where I have seen that almost every type of container or a utility basket was made of bamboo or cane in tribal culture. As it is very small so it won’t take more than 1.5 hrs if you read most the labels on the artifacts. Staff is good and helping.

Beautiful Asset of State and the Northeast inside the museum. This is multistory building having every aspect of Mizoram and Northeast lifestyle, its History, culture, tradition and many more. Its a beautiful museum and the best part is you can do photography inside it. That's amazing. The artifacts protected scientifically and displayed in a very descent manner. The staff is very cooperative and helpful.

Spread over many floors the museum is reasonably informative. Not many visitors, so no crowds to disturb . However, unlike Nagaland Museum , narratives are missing in each display mostly . Still it is worth visiting if you are in Aizwal in vacation. The World War II live bomb found in Manipur and displayed here impressed me .

This place is not up to the expectation when you are visiting State Museum. When I visited, there was not even electricity in Museum building & even no one was available at Ticket Counter to issue entry ticket. Few School Children were there as visitors who were just roaming in dark rooms due to absence of electricity.

We learned a lot about Ancient Mizo culture at this museum. It has a good collection of things except the archeological section which has only a few pieces. It takes an hour or two to complete a tour. Nonetheless, it was good experience.
