Aaishappath Marathi — Restaurant in Mumbai

Small yet good place perfect for having authentic Marathi cuisine from various districts......freshly made food is being served here so if you are a Marathi food fan then you'll have to wait for atleast 15-20 mins to prepare your order.....few things which I tried were as follows.... In drinks I tried.... Kokam sarbat Kairi panha Piyush Solkadhi All the drinks were truly refreshing and perfect to beat the heat...served in good quantity.....

In snacks I tried.... Kothimbir wadi- crispy from outside and soft from inside....good amount of spices and flavourful vadi....good portion served here.... Aluvadi- nice and crispy.... flavours were nice and tasty... Amboli with kalya vatanyachi usal- I felt as if I'm eating in my village.....I felt nostalgia.....nice quantity served which was proportional for a single person to have.... Kachori - crispy and loaded with chutneys and Sev....nice chatpata flavour Matar karanji(highly recommended)- fully stuffed flavourful matar mixture which was put inside.....outer covering was crispy yet soft at the same time...

In thaali I had.... Ghatmatha thaali (regular)- good elements and flavours at the same time....tried something different for the first time and I loved it... Khandeshi thaali (special)- quantity was sooo huge that they served it in 2 plates.....from starters to dessert each and every element was served in this thaali.....this thaali is worth trying for 2 people...

And I ended my meal with delicious desserts which were.... Shirole- I felt nostalgic as this is famous dish of my native place.....balanced sweetness and well cooked rice noodles were served... Semaiyaa kheer - I loved the quantity which was sufficient for 4 people....loaded with nuts and melt in mouth kheer...this was the best...

Service is extremely slow. It took 50 odd minutes to get my takeaway order. Apart from me there were 5 to 6 App based delivery guys/individuals who were complaining in the inordinate delay in getting their orders. This included 1 individual who had placed an order for Chapatis 30 minutes back and did not get them even after waiting 10 minutes in the restaurant. There was a customer in the restaurant who had ordered Misal Pav and buttermilk. The latter was given to him after he reminded them 6 times and about 15 minutes of his placing the order. As regards the food quality it was very poor. The Potato sukji bhaaji in the Thali was off (spoilt) and smelling. Had to throw it away. What amazed me was there was a gentleman sitting in the restaurant who looked like the Owner but no reaction from him regarding the order delays from so many customers!!! The Kothmir Vadis looked like burnt toast. Absolutely black in colour but was still given in the parcel. The Dal in the Thali was bland. The Birda and Ukdichey modak were nice. Aaishapath saangtoh ki, that was my first and last visit to Aaishapath...

The taste and everything is perfect and I keep ordering from this place cause I miss the authentic Maharashtrian flavor and their food reminds me of that.

But the last few times have been a really bad experience. Two times they forgot to give sweet in thali out of which second time I had even called to remind them to send it still they missed it. Now third time they forgot 2 veg sides that were shown in the order picture which I had called to confirm. However they seemed to have an error in their zomato listing which I could have understood however as customer service they should have at least accepted the mistake instead of sounding arrogant or rude on phone. I literally received multiple calls and it felt as if I made a mistake even ordering from here.

We love your food but do not expect such experiences.

Sorry but never ordering again. Not because food has any issue but the management doesn't even wanna listen to complains properly and keep...
