This place is not how it portrays to be from outside. It is right next to a bar, so if you are visiting with your family, standing outside would turn to be a bit chaotic.

We preferred their AC sitting. The ambience was good, it is spacious and the staff is helpful. Everything was perfect until we noticed the flies and mosquitos (maybe due to monsoon or not sure of this is normal).

About the food, their pricing is quite reasonable. We opted for North Indian (Paneer Makhanwala & Butter Naan), Mughlai (Chicken Tikka Biryani), & Chinese (Triple Schezwan Noodle). It is strongly recommend to skip eating their Chinese food, as it is nothing but a plate full of disappointment.

Noodle was tasteless and could hardly feel like eating and as we thought to top it up with the gravy although it turned out to be even more disappointment, it was very diluted and the Manchurian ball inside were half cooked. On the other side, their North Indian and Mughlai was truly a treat to our taste buds. It really compensated for the bas taste their Chinese food has left.

Another disappointment was their washroom, it is connected to the kitchen hence you may feel suffocated and there's hardly any ventilation. The appearance of their washroom when you come from the dining area would be shocking as it is more of like a public toilet with no sanitation and completely unhygienic. That's all folks....

First about the ambience, we sat in an AC hall upstairs, it was good, sitting arrangement is nice for approx 40 people at a time with tables of 4 and 6. Service is very very slow, we ordered Chicken Tangdi kabab which took 45 mins. We also asked for normal chicken soup, the waiter replied it will take very long time for any kind of soup and didn't even care whether we wanted to wait or not. So we gave up the idea and ordered Chicken Dum Biryani. Coming on to the taste and quality of food. Tangdi kabab was good not extraordinary though. Dum Biryani was biggest disappointment and there was no ''Dum" in it at all. A very average taste. Worse, they provided a very low quakiqu Rayta with it, only.onions and watery curd. Shalimar is located in Ghatkopar West near to rcity mall. They offer both veg and nonveg food. But they are famous for non veg food. Food was good and so delicious It is pocket friendly family kind of restaurant. Ambience is not that great it is so normal, services are slow they can improve though. We have tried Chicken tikka masala which was dish full of chunks of roasted marinated chicken in a spiced gravy. And served with butter naan it was so mouthwatering Chicken 65 which consists of spicy, deep-fried chicken and one of the best starters which was so delicious and tasty. Chicken lollipop which was hot and spicy appetizer made with chicken wings. Crisp on the outside, juicy and succulent on the inside And finally the chicken biryani
