Borivali Biryani Centre — Restaurant in Mumbai

Borivali Biryani Centre has a prominent signboard with a good frontage and is located right opposite the busy Goregaon Station on the East side, so it is very easy to locate. Being right opposite the Station however, Parking can be a very major challenge in the day time & they do not offer a Valet Parking service. They have a fairly large selection in their Menu & offer items like Kheema Pav, Bheja Bhurji, Bheja Pakoda, Paya, Paya Soup, Tawa Ghost, etc which are not easily available in most other restaurants. This is in addition to their wide range of Kebabs, Biryanis & Curries in Mutton and Chicken with Vegetarian options as well. Even though the place is basic with no Aircon, it is neat and clean, the food is freshly prepared and tasty, the service is prompt and the rates are very reasonable. They also accept Party Orders by the kilo and offer a Home Delivery Service as well, which is good. Unfortunately, my recent visit to Maratha Biryani Centre left me with a less-than-favorable impression. Despite being seated in the AC section, we were asked to move our chairs to make way for a reservation of 15 people. While I understand the need for reservations, it was frustrating to be interrupted mid-meal. The slow service only compounded the disappointment, as we had to repeatedly request water without anyone taking notice.

The food itself did not live up to our expectations. The Chinese dishes we ordered were lacking in flavor, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was underwhelming. Given the high price point of our meal, we were expecting more in terms of taste and ambiance.

Overall, I was left feeling let down by Maratha Biryani Centre. While I appreciate the effort they put into accommodating large reservations, I wish they had communicated with us beforehand and provided better service throughout our meal. We ordered mutton Matka briyani and half pahadi chicken tandoori and pudding all the dishes were delicious the only problem we faced was after the payment we made the payment through google pay and it showed paid and we also showed the cashier and we left after almost reaching the station the waiter comes and tells us the payment is not done then we had to go back to the hotel and check the issue the cashier tells us the payment is not received to us so we showed him the payment receipt on google pay he told us it will be credited thn we did the payment again tat also did not come thn we tried from another google pay account and it happened after that the 1st payment was credited but the second payment was not then they checked their other Google profile there it was showing then he spoke to the owner and told us we will credit the money back in some time then we left and the money was credited aftr 1 to 2 hrs and they called us and informed and the issue...
