Chinagaon Restaurant — Restaurant in Mumbai

The name of this place is something weird, but do come here and taste their food. I bet you will have a great time here and come here again and again. A small place located near Patkar college and is at a five minute walk from Goregaon station. This place was initially famous for their Chinese food. But recently, they have also started Indian food and Thai food. There is nice variety in dishes, so feel free to choose something good and interesting. What I had-

•PANEER BANJARA KEBAB: It is an appetizer made from paneer and curd. This starter was mouth watering. Paneer is always the favorite dish for any vegetarian. It tasted very nice along with ketchup or green chutney.

•PANEER RESHMI KEBAB: This dish was marinated in sour cream infused with saffron. It was something light, but at the same time was delicious. Tomatoes, onions and capsicum were added in this dish.

•VEG CRISPY: A perfect fast food starter that you can have. There was use of dry vegetables in this dish and it was slightly sweet in taste. The fried veggies were hot, crispy and was served along with spring onions.

•VEG HAKKA NOODLES: Always a go to option while having chinese food. Hot noodles served with vegetables and if needed you can add some chilly sauces to it. Excellent in taste.

•FRIED RICE: It was too much in quantity. Practically something a group of 3-4 people can finish. This dish doesn't require that much information, but you must know that this dish is really good.

•TRIPLE RICE: Triple schezwan rice is always must whilst you have Chinese cuisine. In this dish, you get schezwan rice, Manchurian balls and gravy. It was exquisite to taste and was in huge amount.

This outlet is located at a 5 min walking distance from goregaon station. It's a small outlet with the ground + 1 seating. There's nothing much about the ambience. It's a family restaurant. Their service is on point.

Coming to the food, we had,

Chicken Crispy - What's better than this to start your meal? Diced and fried chicken pieces served in a delicious tangy sauce mixed with lots of veggies.

Lollipop - This is a universal starter. It was perfectly cooked. Crispy on the outside and soft inside. But, it's completely dry. Deep fried. If you like it dry, this is the best for you.

Butter garlic prawns - A gravy dish. We expected it to be dry but it turned out something else. It had a lots of chopped garlic and other veggies with a hint of butter. Felt like it was overcooked.

Adaboo chicken - This was the best one we had. Chopped Chicken pieces marinated in ginger, vinegar, soy sauce, black bean sauce with a hint of pepper. It's a spicy one. It's a delight to your stomach.

Pot rice - This is a well known Asian dish. Rice served with a semi spicy Chinese gravy layered with a group of finely chopped veggies and chicken pieces. This is a must try!

This outlet is located opposite film city studio and it takes about 5 minutes walk to get here from Goregaon station.

The ambiance of the place has a upstair seating arrangement which looks kinda fine and is comfortable. It has an air-conditioner but it feels somewhat hot if you are sitting away from the air-conditioner. My partner spotted a cockroach on the adjacent table where we were sitting. :/

The service speed is good but staff at times is downstairs when you need him which isn't good.

What I tried?

➡️Happy meal at 150 Rs It consists of fried rice, chicken Manchurian gravy and chicken chilly. The chicken chilly was amazing, Manchurian gravy was fine and fried rice was good just the chicken chunks were overcooked.

➡️Chicken lollipop So I and my partner were served HALF COOKED chicken lollipop which ruined the experience. It was taken back and redone but it still had issue as some yellowish white gooey substance keeps coming out from between the crust and chicken layer. I don't know what it was but it doesn't look good nor taste fine either. We left the chicken lollipop and asked for the bill. All I can say my money went in drain.
