Chulla's Veg Gujarati Thali — Restaurant in Mumbai

Had ordered two Gujarati Thali's from chullas for the first time. The experience was not good at first as I'd asked for a specific instruction and when the food was delivered I thought that the instructions were not followed. However, after I opened up the packets. I noticed that they had ensured that I get minimum issues. Hence, thanks Chullas for that.

Now coming to the food, each thali contains 6 chapatis, 2 sabzi, dal, rice, salad, papad, and buttermilk. The sabzis in one Thali were potato & cabbage and in the second Thali the sabzis were doodhi with gravy and chora ni vadi. Both the vegetables tasted really good and were cooked to properly and almost as per my instructions. The chapatis were nice and soft (as we prepare it at home) and the rice they sent was freshly steamed. The dal was also pretty good. And their buttermilk had that traditional Gujarati taste which was a nice finish to the thali.

The only thing that was missing was desserts, only if they could add gulab jamun or something else would've been cherry on top.

The food was properly packed and they'd ensured that the food doesn't get out of the packets.

It was a proper meal at a reasonable rate. I think. I would really recommend Chullas in case you want to order Thali from here.

Tried the Gujarati thali from chullas for the first time by ordering it through zomato and the experience was delightful. But before beginning all thanks to zomato for the 50 percent off December offer and the super fast delivery.

Now coming to the food, their thali contains 6 chapatis or rotli's as they call, 2 types of sabzi, dal, rice, salad, papad, and buttermilk. The sabzi was one of gravy potato and the second was a mix of moong, matki etc. Both the vegetables tasted really good and were cooked to perfection that is neither too mild neither too spicy. The chapatis were nice and soft and the rice they sent was freshly steamed. The dal was also pretty good. And their buttermilk had that traditional Gujarati taste which was a nice finish to the thali.

Now the only problem we felt was that considering the thali costs around Rs. 140 without the discount, so accordingly the quantity they sent was not in line with the cost and this is where some improvement is needed. Orders food @6.20 PM from set menu no al carte, they said we will order only after 8PM, later cancle order as 7.10PM there phone was busy, lady owner just got rude saying why you cancel order, I clearly told we all are not feeling well yet she quarrel, such pathetic and unethical always angry like she is doing charity. If kitchen was not open before 7.30 what's point arguing where order is cancle or placed. Though we are regular customer yet her behaviour is aggressive. Saying in past you cancelled order... cancelled order in past because 8pm delivery was not delivered till 8.40 PM. And top of that we are paying delivery charges. If you can't fulfill your commitment don't pin point others.
