Finally Kandivali has an interesting place which can be on my repeat list. In one month I have been here twice already and I can easily say that they are consistently good. The place is small but it’s a hidden treasure. Completely worth a visit. The service is prompt and helpful with suggestions. The main focus is kulchas of course but I was surprised to see the wonderful starters here this time. What we tried is as follows.
Lassi & chaas. Both served in cute bottles and both perfect.
Soya achaari chaap. The bestest chaap I have ever had. Tried chaap at innumerable places but I can easily vouch for theirs being the best ever. Just don’t miss it for the world. The marinade is perfect and absolutely deeply soaked inside the chaap prices. The chaap is not chewy nor hard. It’s soft and succulent.
Paneer tikka Kali mirch. Good quality of paneer used here. Fresh and soft. The marinade was fantastic with the punch of fresh pepper but the taste was almost same as the achari soya so was a bit disappointed. But if both dishes are not ordered together on the same day then individually both are fantastic.
Kulchas. This place is mainly well known for the kulchas and we tried the Palak paneer kulcha and the cheese onion garlic and capsicum kulcha. Both were fantastic. They have an option of chur chur or regular kulcha. Both fantastic. Chur chur is crispy and can’t be cut into pieces whereas regular can easily be shared. The chole and the onion chutney that come along with the kulchas are splendid.
Tadka dal khichadi. Was excellent just a little extra greasy and at the same time a little dry texture . Can definitely be tried here.
Chocolate walnut kulcha with icecream. Absolutely mind blowing dessert. I’m not a chocolate person at all but this kulcha just blew me away. This is a perfect dessert for me.
Overall a fantastic experience and I’m 100% keeping this place on my repeat list as I have yet to find a better kulcha and chaap place in this...
Read moreThe place is at one of the best khau 🍜 gali in Kandivali Area (Mahavir Nagar), you can find a lot of amazing food 🍝 here. You can visit this place by getting down at Kandivali station West and from there you can take an auto and it will cost you around Rs. 35-40 🛺 From all of these options we decided to explore Oye Teri. It is well known for its Kulcha 🫓 and North Indian food. The place is big (Ground and 2 storey 🏢) it's spacious with lot of people sitting 🪑 capacity and very economical. We were a group of 5 and completed the meal with 400 per person along with some soft 🍦 drink. The restaurant is Pure Veg 🥬 and have variety of option with Kulcha 🫓, Biryani 🍚, Main course (Roti and sabji), Chinese 🍜, Tandoor items and others.
We visited it on the weekend and the place was mostly full with very few tables available, it's a family place. I got a few negative points as well, there was no washroom 🚽 (a small unisex washroom that too not clean 🫧 and soap 🧼 was not available), stairs were really steep and only one person can walk.
We ordered the following and below is the feedback : Afghani chaap - It was topped with Cheese 🧀 and made chaap in cheesy sauce and made in tandoor.
Veg Kolhapuri 🫛 Dum Biryani 🍚 - It was really spicy, it was served along with raita. You must mix it well and then serve it or else for a few people it will be too spicy.
Aloo stuffed 🥙 Kulcha - The Kulcha 🫓 was covered with cheese and served with Chole, Green 💚 chutney and sliced onion 🧅.
Masala kulcha - You can skip this and try some other options, I did not like it much. It wasn't stuffed properly.
Chaas and Lassi - It is something that you can't skip, you need it along with food. We tried Lassi
Overall the experience was really good. You can try something different in cliche food and explore taste buds without paying much price. Ambience ✨ is nothing great and as they have a single kitchen for the whole restaurant, their delivery 🚚...
Read moreRecently got the opportunity to visit and experience the amazing food and service at Oye Teri - The Kulcha Kulture in Ghatkopar West. They offer ground plus one floor of indoor seating.
As soon as we walked in, the first thing we noticed, and what everyone else will notice too, are the warm lights and the unique interiors. After a guided tour by a restaurant staff member, Mr. Nagendra, we were comfortably seated at our tables on ground floor and placed our orders. For starters, we tried the Pahadi Paneer Tikka & Tandori Afgani Chaap. The dishes were exceptional, both in taste and presentation, leaving us excited about the upcoming meal.
Moving on to the main course, we decided to experiment a bit and ordered Veg Hungama Gravy along with Oye Teri Special Kulcha & Butter Naan, which truly met our expectations. It was not only delicious but also filling. As for the other half of our main course, we opted for Paneer Zaikedar Slider. To be honest, it is a must try, i bet you will seriously love it. However, cheese lovers would likely appreciate it more than we did.
With our main course concluded, we turned our attention to desserts. We ordered the Mango Lassi.
Lastly, we must mention the exceptional behavior of the staff, not only towards us but also towards all the other guests present. Throughout our visit, we were accompanied by Mr. Nagendra, whose passion and dedication towards his work were truly commendable.
Highly recommended place. Overall had an amazing experience here.
