Hotel Samadhan — Restaurant in Mumbai

If anyone asks me to pick up one thing in Mumbai which I would miss the most that would be not going to Samadhan on a Friday afternoon for my Surmai thaali. This is a place for foodie and if you ar looking for ambiance don’t even venture here. But if you can go to any length for good food which to the added advantage is served with love and cared for hygiene then this is your destination. The restaurant is tucked in one corner of the Niwas Nagari post office and only a foodie can sniff it out through pure word of mouth. There is limite me veg options but the speciality is sea food. Golden fried prawns, bombill fry, Surmai, pomfret. You name it they have it and always fresh. If you like Konkani food then try the mutton thali it’s majestic and heavenly. The soul curry is the icing on the cake to gulp down the food which you would have overeaten for the sheer taste. Visit here guys else you are missing something. We tried bombil (bombay duck) as starter, chicken popcorn (recommended)

Bombay duck costed us 150₹ for 6p Chicken popcorn (pakoda) - 250₹ for whole plate as shown below

Special chicken Thali which had 2 bhakri (roti optional) chicken fry, chicken with rassa, Solkadi, chutney and rice. Which costed just 350₹

Special Prawns thali which had 2 (roti optional) Sukhi machi, prawns fry, solkadi, Prawns rice. Costly us 499₹

With thali we do get paan at the end :)

Price range is very reasonable to the delicious food we get over here! Recommended to all who eat non veg food and need home food. This place is at the first floor beside the gym you can ask anyone as the location has been changed now.

Don’t fall for their ratings – they’re clearly misleading. I live just two blocks away, and yet my food took 1.5 hours to arrive. I placed my order at 8:39 PM IST and received it only at 10:00 PM, after I had already taken my gastro medication and was in urgent need of food.

Despite calling them directly, there was no urgency or courtesy. The woman who answered the phone was rude, arrogant, and completely unhelpful.

On top of the delay, the quality was pathetic – the fish was clearly frozen, not fresh, and the taste, portion size, and quality were third class. All this after paying a hefty amount.

This was one of the most irresponsible and disappointing food experiences I’ve ever had. Definitely not worth your time,...
