I had the pleasure of visiting Kareem's restaurant in Lokhandwala yesterday, and I must say that it was a delightful experience. Despite its small size, the restaurant had a warm and inviting ambiance, with comfortable seating arrangements that made me feel right at home. But what truly stole the show was the food - Kareem's is renowned for its mouthwatering Mughlai cuisine, and it did not disappoint. Every dish was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection, from the succulent kebabs to the rich and flavoured dum biryani. What's more, I had the chance to sample their special Ramzan menu, and it was a feast for the senses. The delicacies on offer were truly a treat for the taste buds, with a perfect blend of spices and aromas that left me craving for more. I must say that I was very impressed with the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the place. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, and it was clear that the staff took great care to maintain a high level of hygiene. Not only that, but the staff themselves were also excellent. They were friendly, courteous, and went out of their way to ensure that I had an enjoyable dining experience. They were knowledgeable about the menu, and happy to offer recommendations and answer any questions I had. What we had - Lokhnowi seekh chicken kebab 🥙 If you're looking for a delicious and satisfying meal, I highly recommend trying the Lucknowi Seekh Kebab at this restaurant. This dish is a mouthwatering blend of flavors and textures that is sure to please any palate. The kebab itself is cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of spice and tenderness. But what really sets it apart is the cheese stuffing that adds a rich and savory flavor to every bite. It's the perfect balance of indulgent and satisfying, and will leave you wanting more. Alishaan Tikka 🍗 Alishaan Tikka is a must-try for anyone who enjoys chicken tikka. This dish takes the classic flavors of tender and juicy grilled chicken and elevates it to a whole new level. The seasoning is perfectly balanced, providing just the right amount of spice to enhance the natural flavors of the meat. Overall, Alishaan Tikka is highly recommended for anyone looking for a flavorful and satisfying meal. Chicken Dum Biryani I recently had the pleasure of trying the chicken dum biryani at this restaurant, and I must say it was a truly exceptional dish. The chicken was well marinated and cooked to perfection, with each bite bursting with flavor and tenderness. The rice was perfectly cooked and infused with spices, creating a wonderful aroma that tantalized my senses. The biryani was presented beautifully, with each layer of rice and chicken meticulously arranged for maximum visual appeal. But it was the taste that really impressed me - it was an explosion of flavors in my mouth, with the spices and seasoning perfectly balanced to create a harmonious taste. Matka Rabdi Matka Rabdi dessert at this restaurant, and I must say it was a delightful way to end my meal. The dessert was served in a small mud pot, which added to the authentic and traditional feel of the dish. The rabdi was chilled to perfection, with a rich and creamy taste that was simply divine. In short, Kareem's restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates good food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable culinary...
Read moreGreat Food, But Definitely a Delivery-Only Experience
My wife and I visited Kareem’s in Andheri after seeing some really appealing photos on Google, Zomato, and Swiggy. The food in the pictures looked delicious—and to be fair, the food was really good. Rich flavors, great portions, and definitely worth ordering again.
However, the dine-in experience was a huge letdown.
The moment we walked in, we realized that the space looked nothing like the photos. The seating was cramped, the tables weren’t very clean, and when we went to wash our hands, the area didn’t feel hygienic at all. That instantly shifted the vibe.
To make things worse, drinking water was served in plastic glasses, which felt odd and off-putting, especially when you’re expecting a restaurant-level experience. It didn’t feel thoughtful or welcoming.
Compared to other restaurants just a minute away—like Loca Loca or Doolally, which have amazing ambience and proper dine-in setups—Kareem’s felt more like a takeaway joint. And honestly, that’s probably what they’re optimized for: fast deliveries, not dine-in experiences.
Also, parking can be difficult in that lane, and for families or groups of more than 3–4 people, this is definitely not the place to sit and eat comfortably.
So here’s my recommendation: order their food online and enjoy it at home. You’ll love the flavors without the hassle of the space.
Based on the food alone, I would have given 4.5 stars—but given the dine-in experience, I’m rating it a solid 4 stars, purely for the taste and quality...
Read moreIf there is a place that can tingle your taste buds and tempt you to indulge most of your senses, then it is Kareems. This new place which has opened up at Lokhandwala is a delight in more ways than one. What immediately grabs you is the clean, long and unobtrusive space. Standing at the entrance, you can see right through till the end. Its tastefully done up and not overdone with ghastly colour palette. It is well lit so you can feast your eyes on the food before you gobble it up. You are greeted with smiles and welcome like a family member. The menu is quite elaborate to cater to both vegetarians and non vegetarians. There are soups, starters, elaborate main courses and desserts (some of them unique to the place). Over 4 visits, I have tried chicken biryani, galoti kebabs, chicken sheek kebabs, paaya soup, mutton, mutton kebabs and I could go on and on like a glut. Its heartening to note that all of it was good including the mixed vegetables. I have not managed to take any pics of the food as it gets gobbled as soon as it arrives and taking pictures is the last thing on your mind. Whether ordering, or personally visiting or treating family and friends, it is just a perfect place to satiate the taste buds. Best part, the food is not greasy or the meats are not floating on a bed of oil which makes you over eat. Just one request to the restaurant owner, please keep a treadmill so guests can do some padyatra post a...
