RICH HOTEL — Hotel in Mumbai

This review is for Diamond Hotel. I am posting it here because it is owned by the same ppl who own Rich Hotel and there is no option to give review for Diamond Hotel on Google. I have given it 2 stars because of clean rooms and for providing basic amenities like tooth brush, soaps, cupboards etc. But I am really shocked by the behaviour of the guy who is the owner. Nobody behaves like that. I was too close to calling the police on him but decided to let it go because I had a flight to catch. First of all this person did not take card payment from me. He only wanted cash or Gpay. I told him that for the coming days, I would pay via card as it suits me more. The next day I asked his assistant to take payment via card from me, he agreed. When I was passing by the reception, this owner was sitting there and stopped me. He said pay via cash or Gpay. I tried to argue with him that his assistant had promised me to take card payment. But this owner will not even let u finish ur sentence. He will just snub you by tossing his head left to right and saying no. He doesn't want any logic, he doesn't want to hear ur concerns. He doesn't care what his assistant promised you. He just wants GPay or cash. 'Get cash from ATM, if u don't have GPay'. This is what he said. Another thing, the rooms stink of public urinal. I don't know if a drain passes by from this hotel or what but that stench is there even at reception and the corridors. In the beginning 3 days, I decided to ignore all these concerns. I paid via PayTm, I got a room freshener for my room. The rigidity of the owner did bother me but I overlooked it because I didn't want to create hassles or tensions when I could manage things on my own, and the hotel was available at a reasonable price. But the things really blew off for me on the last day during checkout. At around 9.30 am, I went to reception and spoke to the assistant to allow me to check out at 1pm as I had some issues with my luggage and needed to get it fixed. He said "sure u can check out at 1pm and I will tell the guys coming in next for work". At around 11.30 am, this owner guy calls my room and says check out is at 12 pm. I went to reception and this stubborn wierdo started shaking his head left to right and without even listening to my point of what his assistant had promised me, he just kept repeating like a parrot that the check-out is at 12 pm "we have written it here". His behaviour really made me angry. He said you will have to pay Rs.500 extra if you stay till 1 pm. I refused to pay. He started manipulating the conversation by saying that "my assistant had said he will 'confirm' the check out time". Etc. Etc. Upon arguing with him and countering him on his lame logics, he barked at me saying, "leave my hotel right now". Then I asked him to give me receipts of my payments to the hotel. This made him sit down quietly. My friend tried to talk to him calmly. But this crazy man called us at 12 pm and asked my friend and Me to leave. With the help of my friend, I had fixed my luggage quickly. And I didn't want to stay in that hotel any longer, so I left.

I don't care what logics these people give to my post to save their tarnished image. But My experience at Diamond Hotel was too bad, was too pathetic because of the...

Wish google had half a star option as well....! please don't pay up front without checking the interiors thoroughly at this place.... The images online are just deceiving... They don't manage the property well, its dirty, with dirty sheets, pillow covers and towels, there was a spider crawling in the bed...the commode cover was broken... It was a horrifying experience after lifting the covers on the bed, the telecom doesn't work...the owner doesn't understand communication well neither the staff...they don't even have food or beverage at the property, whatever they show on the menu they bring from outside...if u do want that location there are other properties around the same alley...but refrain from going here .... I had a nightmare, paid for 3 days and on the first day I highlighted all my concerns, they didn't do anything about it do i asked for my refund, which the manager agreed since it was just a few hours at the property....but i never got the refund the owner kept on promising the amount everyday and i kept calling and begging for the money ... Worst hotel experience for me so...

DONT EVER BOOK HERE!!! Our stay at Rich Hotel was really bad. The room key card didn’t work, so every time we had to call the manager to open our door with a master key. The bathroom had a strong cigarette smell. There were no toiletries, towels, or napkins in the room. They only gave them after we asked.

The manager was very rude and spoke badly to us. There was no security at the hotel. Only two staff members were there — one manager and one worker. At night, the manager would sleep on the sofa in the lobby with earphones in his ears. He didn’t care about anything. The other worker was not even there at night.

One night, we came back late and couldn’t wake up the manager. We had to take the master key ourselves from the reception to open our room. Just think about the security at this hotel — anyone can enter without being stopped.

The manager also promised to give us a better room the next day, but he gave excuses and didn’t keep his word. He was very unprofessional and didn’t care about the guests.

I would not suggest anyone stay at this hotel. It’s unsafe and...
