Kesas — Restaurant in Mumbai

My past experience and today's experience with Kesas has been bitter-sweet. I usually has Shawarma from Kesas over the years today i decided to try a new launched Combo @ 249, which includes (in plastic one rectangular flat shaped) Chicken Schezwan Rice and Chicken Fried Rice, (Square aluminium container) had chicken hakka noodles, (black plastic round container) manchurian gravy with 3 chicken pieces, (square aluminium container) has 2 pieces of semi-gravy chicken lollipop along with this was Schezwan Chutney and Fried noodles (aluminium wrapped). Quantity/Proportion: Fried Rice, Schezwan Rice and Noodles was all 1/4th of a full portion. Manchurian Gravy was sufficient for rice and noodles. Rating: 1/5 Taste: Noodles was only winner though the quality of noodles seemed the cheapest. Both rice were tasteless and manchurian gravy was just lukewarm water induced in ginger and soya sauce. Lollipop semi-gravy was too good. Rating: 2/5 Service: Though its not updated on Swiggy or Zomato had to ride myself in rains to get it. It took more than 30 mins to get that prepared with hardly any order. The server seemed in no interest of working (he had his own Monday blues or was mentally in some hill station and forced to work). Though clearly mentioned in combo yet he forgot the fried noodles and on requesting to give since its mentioned he was 'too reluctant' to offer me the portions. He packed 2 portion of those dried noodles but wanted me to ask for 2 only then he gave me. (PS: there is a camera above the take away counter, he dare not bluff). Rating: 1/5

Overall: Just order Shawarma if needed go for an order via Swiggy or Zomato if no options available. Honestly won't suggest the 249 Chinese combo and for pathetic service would rate 2/5 for...

Kesas has been on my list for a long time and I must say the place has won my heart totally. I have heard a lot about their Shawarma's and Lollipop and they have been by far the best place where I have come across such quality chicken lollipop and shawarma. 1- Arabic Shawarma - Thinly diced soft and tender chicken well marinated and cooked in a thick spicy masala having the typical spice element hitting correctly with balanced sharp flavors from the pickled beetroot with creamy cheese and curd sauce to make the spice of the shawarma a balanced one. Totally loved the texture and the softness of the chicken with the coasted spice making the shawarma a one of a kind one. 2- Peri Peri Chicken Lollipop- One of the best chicken lollipop i have ever had. With crunchy crispy layer outside and soft and juicy chicken on the inside with the goodness of the peri peri seasoning well coated and marinated with the flavors reaching right to all the parts of the chicken. Wholesome with the right amount of spice kicking in , in every bite. 3- Chilli chicken- I am sure chilli chicken is everyone's favorite and kesas has a different touch to their chilli chicken. Well glazed chicken in soy sauce , with stir fried bell peppers along with the hit of pepper with long chicken pieces making it a juicy and tender ride to enjoy. 4- Veg Momos - Soft juicy veggies steamed well served along with scallion oil and schezwan sauce having a soft tender and sweet filling in the inside. Totally loved the service here , the staff is really quick with their service and they have an amazing staff concerned with the customer satisfaction more....

Kesas is located at Tilak nagar, near Lal maidan. So was really awaiting to order from out and so ordered from here. They have variety in lebanese, arabic, chinese dishes. So opted for

Lebanese Grilled Chicken: Breast chicken pieces well coated. Liked the taste but could have been better as I felt the hygiene could have been maintained of the dish.

Crunchy chicken shawarma: Loved the shawarma with crunchy pieces of chicken but make sure to consume immediately to relish the crunchy chicken otherwise it turns soggy. The shawarma is filling for one.

Steam chicken momos: The momos are good but needs to be steamed more. The filling was good enough. The chutneys were really good that came along.
