Mediterranea — Restaurant in Mumbai

Shawarmas are one of Dubai’s most popular kerbside snacks & certainly finds a special place in my stomach. With prices ranging from AED5 (from a delicious hole in the wall in Karama) to AED80 in the Dubai Mall, I try this classic Middle Eastern Street food wherever I go. During a recent visit to Mumbai, to my pleasant surprise, my ‘light bulb’ gastronomic moment was digging into premium quality food from "Mediterranea". The slowly charred, deliciously spiced meat in rendered fat juices, sliced & slathered with magical sauce – all crammed into fresh pita in the chicken Shawarma, Lamb kebab & shish taouk. That was most certainly a meat eaters paradise. And there’s no need to brave the Mumbai traffic since Home Delivery is an option....

Mediterranea is for me the best restaurant in Mumbai.
