Terrible Experience—Unprofessional Service and Mismanagement
I visited Sarova Bar & Restaurant yesterday to celebrate my birthday, expecting the same pleasant experience I've had in the past. Unfortunately, this time was a disaster from start to finish.
Upon arrival, we requested a table, but the staff was uncooperative. The first table was messy, and instead of cleaning it, we were told it was occupied by guests who went for a smoke. When we requested another table, we were told it was "reserved." Finally, we found a table ourselves, but later saw the messy table cleaned and occupied by other customers, without explanation.
The service was shockingly poor. When we asked for regular water, the captain told us it was dirty and insisted even the staff drinks only mineral water. Later, the waiter brought the same regular water, and it was perfectly fine! This level of confusion and lack of professionalism was consistent throughout the night.
We brought a cake to celebrate, but when the table was cleaned, the waiter took away a full cigarette pack we had left there, and then denied it. Despite complaining to the captain and requesting them to check the cameras, nothing was done to resolve the issue.
We were constantly ignored by the wait staff, who would run off and avoid our table. At one point, the captain even scolded a waiter in front of us, but the poor service continued. It took 15 minutes just to get the cake out of the fridge.
When it came time to cut the cake, we had a small slice, but the waiter never distributed the rest as requested. They kept it for themselves!
To make things worse, the captain then had the audacity to present us with his personal QR code, asking us to pay him directly for a drink he wanted. This is completely unacceptable and unprofessional.
What was supposed to be a celebration turned into an absolute nightmare. The mismanagement, lack of attention, and shady behavior from the captain and staff have completely changed my perspective on this place. I used to rate it highly, but after last night's experience, I wouldn't even give it one star if I could.

Read moreAs a food blogger, I recently had the opportunity to visit Sarovam Bar & Restaurant for dinner. While the food itself was enjoyable, there were a few aspects of the experience that left something to be desired.
Let's start with the positives. The butter chicken and butter roti we ordered were flavorful and well-prepared. The taste was undoubtedly a highlight.
However, there were a few significant drawbacks that affected my overall impression of the restaurant. Firstly, the delivery time for our food was unacceptably long, making us wait for approximately 25 minutes. This delay detracted from the overall experience, as prompt service is crucial for an enjoyable dining experience.
Furthermore, Sarovam Bar & Restaurant is primarily a bar, which means that smoking and drinking are allowed in the establishment. This can be problematic for non-smokers, as the smoke tends to permeate the air, resulting in an unpleasant smell. Families with children may find this aspect particularly inconvenient and may want to consider other dining options.
Another aspect that disappointed me was the service provided by the waitstaff. The waiters did not pour water in a timely manner, which is a basic expectation in any restaurant. This lack of attention to detail detracted from the overall dining experience and left me feeling unsatisfied with the service provided.
In conclusion, while the food at Sarovam Bar & Restaurant was enjoyable, there were notable drawbacks that impacted my experience as a food blogger. The delayed delivery, the presence of smoking and drinking, and the subpar service all played a part in diminishing the overall appeal of the establishment. For those seeking a family-friendly, smoke-free environment with prompt service, it may be advisable to explore alternative...
Read moreSarova Restaurant and Bar has always caught my eye while passing by the highway—there’s something inviting about its look and location. When I finally stopped by, I was genuinely impressed with the interior and rooftop section. It has a cozy, laid-back vibe that’s rare to find in a highway-side bar. The ambiance feels just right for a casual drink or quick hangout, especially in the evenings.
But unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended for me.
The food and service were a big letdown. I ordered chicken lollipop, but the head waiter kept insisting I try the tandoor version instead. When I clearly told him I wasn’t interested and that I’d rather skip it if the regular lollipop wasn’t available, he suddenly said, “We do have the lollipop.” It felt very manipulative and pushy.
A similar thing happened with the veg starters. We ordered mushroom, but they brought paneer instead—and again, the waiter tried hard to convince us to just go with it. When we refused, he said mushroom would take 20 minutes. We agreed to wait, but then suddenly he claimed they were out of mushrooms altogether. This kind of flip-flop and forceful attitude really ruined the experience.
Food quality was average at best, and the overall attitude of the staff made it feel like they were more interested in pushing what’s convenient for them than giving the customer what they want.
In summary: Beautiful setting, poor service. Will I return? Only if it’s just for a...
