Drifters Tap Station — Restaurant in Nagpur

A real good place, after a long time I discovered a new place. It’s open till 12 am and they have indoor and outdoor seating. They have good menu options in vegetarian and non vegetarian options. The service was good too. I am surprised I never knew about this place before. When ever I am in the city I use to visit the same old places, but it was good to discover a new place. I can compare it to Bombay standards in terms of their quality and service.

The decor was not classy, it was little offbeat. I recommend it and I would definitely visit again.

I visited again on Sunday and the music was very loud and on top of it the India Pakistan match was being played on the screen so the audience were shouting and making noise.

We requested politely if you could lower the volume a little as we are unable to talk or have conversation, it’s not a club. It’s a restaurant!!!!!

But the head waiter wearing blue shirt with big fat belly straight away denied it no we cannot lower the volume with no apologetic reaction on his face!!!!

Then we again asked Ravi another waiter and he also denied it.

Since we were hungry and weather was very humid and it was late also so we had no choice but to sit and order our food and eat and leave.

I don’t think they realised we didn’t leave a tip except the service charges which was automatically charged and given to us.

The owner should teach the staff be little polite, being in the service industry one needs to have manners and it doesn’t cost anything for the waiter to smile and greet?

Ravi was sweet and was smiling but the other fat dark skin colour blue t shirt 👕 waiter was not at all polite or courteous.

If I was the owner I would not hire...

Edit 1 - Drifters Tap Station is a new addition for all the Tap Beer lovers in Nagpur (the Franchise details have now been updated on the Drifters Tap Station website). Great ambience, great interiors. They have a separate seating for smoking and non-smoking customers. One thing I liked about Drifters Tap is that they provide some tasting samples of their beers, so that customers can judge and decide for themselves. These tasting samples however are limited per table (and not per person). Also they keep running special offers on weekends, or special days, so please check with the staff if you are eligible to avail them. We tried the Belgian Wit, German Lager, Kokum Cider, Irish Red Ale, Vienna Lager and Hefeweizen. The beers were great. Their beer menu tells clearly which beer would feel bitter and has how much alcohol in it, this is something I really liked. I was not happy with the food in particular. We had ordered Stuffed Kulcha Balls (which I thought were way overpriced, 400 rupees for just 4 balls and they didn't taste extraordinary as well). The wood fired pizza was good, but this is served only after 7 pm (so we had to wait for a good 45 mins for it to be served). I believe that people prefer Pizza and Beer, so if you are serving beer from say 6 pm you should serve pizza also at 6 pm. All in all, a good place and definitely...

So here is how we were scammed and drifters:

Have at least visited this place more than 20 times Never bothered to check the bill because I assumed they were honest people.

But Oh boy, I was wrong,

In our yesterday‘s visit, our bill was Incorrectly sent with five extra items added, As a large group Luckily we Decided to check the bill.

After confrontation, the service guys were shattered as the Scam was out. I asked the staff to check for CCTV footage and they had the audacity to lie on our faces and say that we have checked the footage And the item was delivered on our table.

Furiously when we decided to speak to the manager, He said we do not have the access of CCTV footage itself right now, Very strange, How two people from one Store can have different answers.

We offered the manager, our contact details and paid the bill in full, Till date, the shameless staff has not even apologised for the mistake even after face on confrontation.
