Cozy Place with Delicious Treats in Nainital My first impression was, Wow! What a cozy and charming place to visit! The ambiance is amazing, making it a perfect spot to relax. However, most of the items on the menu are quite sugary, so you need to be mindful of your health. But let’s be honest—once you start tasting the treats, it’s hard to stop!
We met the owner during our visit and had a delightful conversation. He shared some interesting stories about Nainital’s history, including how this place has been a popular spot for high school romances and dates over the years. Knowing the history added a nostalgic charm to the experience.
The place is old but very well-maintained, with a warm and inviting vibe. The staff is extremely polite, and the owner himself is very friendly and welcoming.
We tried several desserts:
Brownie – Delicious and perfectly baked Cheesecake – Rich, creamy, and absolutely delightful Choco Truffle Pastry – Decadent, chocolaty, and indulgent Everything we tasted was amazing! The portion sizes are generous, and the quality is excellent. However, my only concern is that these sweet treats can be quite unhealthy if consumed in large quantities. So, you need to enjoy them in moderation.
Overall, this is a must-visit place in Nainital if you have a sweet tooth. The combination of cozy vibes, tasty treats, and friendly service will definitely make your visit memorable.

Once you step inside, the noise fades, and you’re welcomed into a space that carries a gentle, old-world charm. The walls are lined with photographs that reflect the rich culture of Uttarakhand, adding character without overwhelming the space. The staffs are polite and welcoming. The shop is best known for its classic Swiss pastries and sweets, many of which have stood the test of time. They also serve a mix of Chinese and tandoori items, which adds variety to the menu. We had cold coffee with ice cream, americano, chocolate tart, tiramisu, cinnamon roll, blueberry cheesecake, lemon cheesecake, whole pineapple pastry, chocolate almond pastry and pan fried noodles. The pastries tasted good and were nicely made, though they leaned a little on the sweeter side. A touch less sweetness might help bring out the real depth of the ingredients and let the core flavors speak more clearly. The cheesecakes were well-made, creamy, and have a nice balance of flavor that’s easy to enjoy. Coffees were good as well as the noodles. Tariff wise the confectionery is slightly on the higher side. Overall verdict, it’s a place that blends heritage with comfort, and offers a break from the usual - a visit worth making if you’re...

I recently visited The Sakleys, a place that used to be a beacon of excellence and charm in our community. Unfortunately, it seems that those days are long gone.
Firstly, the staff's attitude was shockingly bad. They were inattentive, rude, and seemed uninterested in providing any level of service. It felt as though our presence was an inconvenience to them, which made the experience very unpleasant.
The menu, which once boasted an array of delightful and carefully curated dishes, has now become a jumble of uninspired and poorly executed options. It feels like the cafe has lost its culinary direction entirely. The quality of the food has significantly deteriorated; dishes that were once flavorful and fresh now taste bland and poorly prepared.
Lastly, the vibe that made this cafe a beloved hangout spot has vanished. The once cozy and inviting atmosphere has been replaced by a cold and unwelcoming ambiance. It’s heartbreaking to see such a decline in a place that was once so special.
In summary, this cafe has lost all its former charm and appeal. I cannot recommend visiting this place anymore, as it no longer offers the enjoyable experience it once did. Save your time and money, and find a new spot that values its customers and maintains a high standard of food...
