Ashok Vegetarian Restaurant — Restaurant in Nainital

In last 5 years I came to Nanital 3 times and each time I visited this Restaurant. This Restaurant is centrally located in Nanital. This time I visited in November 2021. I must say they need to work in taste and quality of food served. What I found wrong that this place need to be clean and hygiene. When we visited, we had to ask to clean our table, even after that they just did formality to clean table. We ordered Dosa and Janta Thali. Dosa, Sambhar & Coconut chutney were below average and Thali was average.

The Ashok is an eatery with minimal ambience but its prime location on the Mall Road, overlooking the lake and right beside the boathouse makes it a hit. The all-vegetarian menu with crowd-pleasers, both North Indian cuisine and South Indian cuisines (think masala dosas), helps. Owner is only interested in making money and likes customers who vacates his table as early as possible.
