*Event (Engagement Ceremony) review * I have visited origin around 3-4 times in the past and food quality and taste was really appreciative, hence when it was a special occasion i did not hesitate to book origin banquet, and turns out that was one of the biggest mistake i did. Very poorly managed, food was served 45 mins late, all the guests where waiting for the food, after repeated followups the food finally arrived in the banquet. Starter we had orderd 1 veg+ 1 non veg. Starter was suppose to start at 12pm and circulate for an hr but starters was also not ready, at around 1.30pm starter came but only veg starter we had to wait another 45 min to get the non veg starter, that to came only once(received 2nd round at 3pm when we 5 people sat for lunch at the end of event after all guests left). So it was a total loss for us. One of the salad item ( aloo chat) was set on buffet when more than 70% of my guest were done with lunch. No pickle , papad or salt which is a basic placement in any buffet. Now comes the worst part, curry bowls were not present, only 1st 10 guests got the bowl and later on they placed icecream paper cups to serve curries and plastic spoons that we use to eat chat for lunch buffet. Imagine having butter chicken and naan from an ice cream paper bowl. I never knew origin was so short on cashflow that they cannot even afford to serve proper cutleries to just 60 guests.also dont expect any assistance in parking, they have a useless watchman who never moves from his place or assist where to park. They have a basement parking but no one knew there is one as the watchman was to lazy to move or inform. On top of all this they had the audacity to charge in full. As it was food that we consumed i did not ask for any either. One star is for food taste which was good and only thing that did not disappoint. In short i will never ever recommend origin for any events, book at your own risk!

Special appreciation to Mr. Pavan who was not the person i was in touch for booking but on event day he took over the charge and tried to do his best but failed which i dont think was his fault. It was definitely management issue.

Staff was polite throughout, appologised for the goofup but in the end i wasted my money and my reputation in front of my friends...

I have been visiting Origin Barbecue since it was launched. The food quality and service was descent till the last time I visited. I had to spend almost 30-40 minutes on the table till the time I was served and I had to remind couple of times to the captain to get it served too. I was surprised to see the recepie for the barbecue was changed which included lot of spices/masala coating which was too spicy for one to have peacefully. I requested the captain to make it less spicier or like before, but to my surprise he mentioned that it’s already marinated and can not be customised. I believe they have made this change intentionally so that the number of orders on the barbecue could be controlled. I visited here on 11th Jan sunday and observed the staff were less and its was lot of mess there. Lot of people weren’t happy and I saw many of them complaining on the food quality and service. Also one of the family stopped there dinner in the middle and left the place disappointed. For me earlier it was 5/5 for both food quality and service but now I would hardly say 1 or 2/5 for the same. I would request the concerns to kindly look into this and make sure they don’t loose the reputation they had earlier. If we experience the same going forward I would rather say better spend 200 more per head & visit barbecue nation instead, which would give you a descent service more options and a definitely better food quality too. Hope my review helps others who plan to visit barbecue next time. Origin! If at all you go across this review, I hope you take it seriously and do what you need to do and make sure you don’t disappoint your customers next...

We had a team dinner of our office colleagues including 15 members,so it was a nice buffet arrangement for us . In starters we had chicken wings (were decent n tasty but too oily) , chicken tikka (were nicely made but not too tasty were okayish) , chicken lollypop (which were superb n delicious) , mutton Sikh kabab ( which were not that good) , fish Afghani tikka (which were very bad ,tikkas were literally tasting like rotten ) , prawns tikka (which were ok ok). So in starters we enjoyed chicken lollipop and chicken tikkas mostly and few chicken wings. We were served with welcome drink having 2 flavours , kivi and blackcurrant. Amongst which kivi was superb , blackcurrant was aweful.

In the main course we had proper buffet set up including chicken masala (was okayish ), mutton lal masala (was really delicious and yummy , mutton was well cooked) , chicken chilly gravy (was nice), chicken hyderabadi biryani (wasn't good , chicken pieces were not at all cooked and very chewy) , eggrice (which was very good ) , butter naans (well cooked and soft) , different types of salads .

In desserts we had most of the flavours of ice creams whichever you want you can take , chocolate flavour was very hard no one could have it . Plus we had fruit custard (which was superb and very delicious and smooth), chocolate brownie (was ok ok) , strawberry pastry (was smooth , yummy and melting) , pineapple pastry ( was okayish) , gulab jamuns ( which were light , smooth and sweet) .

Over all I would say it was a satisfactory outing, the ambience was nice , we even sang and enjoyed while having dinner .
