Yogi Executive Vashi - Impromptu visit. Roof top besides the pool. Would have loved to be there 15 days ago. Mumbai just got hot. Even then it was a bit windy. Ambiance is nice. Cool place. 2 sections - one besides the pool area and other besides the entrance. Both are Non Ac. It's become mandatory these days to stick to Beer -chilled with French Fries (served with ketchup and mayo) made well, polished it in no time. Skipped the Soup and Salad, straight to the starters. Cottage cheese Malaysian style was recommended by a friend who had been here. Good choice. Soft malai Paneer tossed in Schezwan sauce with crushed peanuts/bell pepper/spring onions. Good punch and nutty in taste. Lovely starter went well with beer. Served with salad. Chicken Hazarvi kebab - found a couple of pieces under. Overall done well. Comfort food. Nicely marinated. Spices and flavours balanced well. Just those 2 pieces ... (chefs please look into it) Garnish of cilantro. Served with Onion/tomato/carrot salad. (Nice punch) also mint chutney. Lasooni Broccoli - Loved the texture. Spicy at the same time not over. Had the garlic hit along with other spices which were marinated well. Yogurt gave a good texture to it. Overall good dishes (nice quantity) try it out. Cooked in clay oven perfectly. No flaw. Since I love a bit of extra spicy food, liked the dish. Mutton Seekh - minced mutton, old school. Texture rusty. Initially thought it was hand pounded. Overall spicy and herbs along with aroma were balanced well. A bit of chaat masala as well. Served hot along with salad (guess had a bit of mustard to it) overall good. Falafel with Hummus & Greek Yogurt -pita looked good. Stuffing of falafel/mayo/hummus/bell pepper went well, nicely balanced. Hummus found the texture to be a bit rusty. Greek yogurt (basil) was the biggest flop I have ever come across. Lot of improvement needs on the Greek yogurt. (This is all about smooth texture) missed that. Also flavour of the basil missing. (Chef, take a call) Missed out on the fish Koliwada which was ordered. Had an option for a starter or butter chicken. Opted for the latter. Butter Chicken - these guys made it perfectly. Creamy yet spicy. Texture perfect. Kasoori methi correct proportion. Shredded tandoori chicken pieces roasted perfect. Tomato/yogurt paste was balanced well. Overall a great dish which went well with Roti. No dessert - Overall Will be surely back for some good Non vegetarian dishes here. Try this place; one is in a different zone once he/she is on the rooftop at Executive Yogi. Thanks and cheers. See you soon. PS. They also have wood fire pizza and one can also customize their own...
Read moremy friend and I had been to Yogi rooftop for my birthday dinner, which has really good ambience but satisfactory food quality and quantity in comparison to the amount charged..
we were greated by Savio, whom i assume to be the manager of the rooftop and Deepak, the hotel server... on Deepak's persistent insistence we ordered cheese balls (Rs.400) as starters which were very small in size and paneer shashlik sizzler (Rs.800), the quantity of which would not even suffice one persons appetite and was not at all that appealing to our eyes or to our taste buds.. Each order took more than half an hour to be prepared and served on the yet didn't taste well.. the person who served us food on our table also did not know to serve the food well by either dropping it around the plate or leaving food on the serving platter unserved and taken back..
Deepak, goofed up orders of the other guests there by sending nearly three or four times of such starters ordered by the others on our table.. not only embarrassing the other guests but us as welll...
my friend also had pre-booked and pre-paid half kg chocolate dark cake which they charged us with Rs.600/= which is way too expensive for a half kg cake since no outside food items can be bought in the premises and to add on to their glitches, they served us different cake!! for which they charged us in the final bill despite of it being pre-paid.. (the amount is yet not refunded as promised) since we forgot the rest of the cake at the restaurant.. we asked mr.savio if he could get it delivered to us and he flatly denied it and so i went down personally to collect it and they again denied of having it with them..! what a service provided, i must say!!
so in all.. we were charged approximately Rs.3300/= for the two food items so ordered, a cake which we were doubly charged for (yet awaiting the refund and the cake..!!) and sheesha (Rs.1000) ordered which was below satisfactory... to add the cherry on top of all the so called service provided we noticed the packaged bottle of water {Bisleri} which does not cost more than Rs.20/= was charged Rs.100/=
we were apparently also, compensated by 10% off on our total bill for such unsatisfactory services provided which I could notice nowhere in the final bill..!!
kudos to the services provided "Yogi Rooftop"....!!!
i would not recommend "yogi rooftop" for any celebration ever!!
so my final rating for "yogi rooftop" in terms of - food : 2/5 services : 2/5 ambience : 3.5-4/5 value for money :...
Read moreWe visited this restaurant to celebrate a special occasion with my family. It was a spontaneous decision since it’s a rooftop restaurant, and we’ve had positive experiences at other Yogi outlets before.
To begin with, we were not offered poolside seating despite it being available. Although, after visiting the washroom, I noticed the pool wasn’t particularly clean.
The area where we were seated had excessively loud music. While I’ve been to pubs before, the sound here was harsh and uncomfortable, likely due to poor-quality speakers or improper sound equalizer settings. The volume was so high that the waiter could barely hear us while taking our order.
Feeling uncomfortable due to the overwhelming noise, we decided to order quickly and leave as soon as possible. I couldn’t help but wonder why we weren’t seated outside, despite specifically requesting it.
When our food finally arrived, it was disappointing. The service was terrible — they initially brought only the chicken crispy, and after a long wait, they served the biryani. Two of our starters were still pending at this point, and eventually, they brought garlic bread and fish fingers along with the main course, which was a bizarre combination.
We quickly finished our meal and left. The service charge was optional, and considering the poor service, I asked them to remove it.
After this experience, I have no intention of visiting this Yogi...
