Caramel — Restaurant in New Delhi

I was a little generous for 3 stars, i was definitely in a good mood that the coffee and the services tried spoiling at their best.

It was my first experience here, but I was expecting a lot given the presence in a Taj property.

The server disappointed at the very first contact as she was unaware of the menu items.

Second, she vanished from the cafe and left us unattended for 10-15 minutes (not alone entirely as someone was repairing the coffee machine).

Third, pathetic cappuccino (watery), fresh orange juice(warm juice with hint of other fruits and a weird smell) and cold coffee (not cold) with sugar crystals + bad aftertaste.

I would love to give them a second chance as it won't be fair to judge a place of this stature in the very first go but I am truly very doubtful...

Went to caramel, the coffee shop of Taj Vivanta, Dwarka. The coffee shop is the same old. Even the upholstery is old and dirty now. There was no one to serve water or give menu. After much waiting someone came in nd gave us water. The bakery items visible in the cafe are on 50% discount between 6pm to 9pm. We ordered for a chocolate pastry which was average. The paneer puff took 20 minutes but it was fresh and tasty. Again too much of waiting to get water and food. Ordered for cold coffee, which was not at all good. It’s made from Nescafé powder and not beans. The coffee was bad had no taste and you don’t expect a 5 star to give such cold coffeees. Poor slow service. No water no tissues no sauce. It's is located in the Vivanta by Taj group of hotels The coffee shop is decently spaced with sitting of 10 people. They have regular coffee and tea option which you find in all the cafes and also have cakes and pastries.
