A Perfect Sunday Brunch at Chica
Nestled in the heart of the city, Chica is the ultimate destination for a vibrant and indulgent Sunday brunch. Opened in April 2022, this stunning restaurant, the brainchild of renowned restaurateur Dinesh Arora, impresses from the moment you step in. Chica, which means a girl or young woman, exudes an air of elegance and charm that perfectly matches its name. With its lush, vibrant ambiance, it sets the tone for a cozy yet luxurious winter brunch experience.
The Ambiance Whether you're soaking up the winter sun on Chica's expansive outdoor seating area, complete with heaters for added comfort, or savoring the warmth of its chic interiors, the vibe is nothing short of magical. The space is designed to be a social hotspot, ideal for gatherings with friends, family, or loved ones. Live music fills the air, adding a lively rhythm to the cheerful conversations around you, while the aesthetic interiors and picture-perfect plating make it an Instagrammer’s dream.
The Culinary Journey My brunch at Chica was nothing short of fabulous, thanks to the exceptional hospitality of Corporate Chef Aman Dhar and Sous Chef Sunil Baghel. They curated an incredible dining experience, offering a delightful mix of Indian, Continental, and European cuisines. Every dish felt like a labor of love, crafted to perfection with hearty flavors and seasonal ingredients.
The Chipotle Lamb Chops stole the show with their juniper berry and chipotle glaze, complemented by a fresh local greens salad. The flavors were bold yet balanced, making every bite a delight. Another standout was the Drunken Prawns, featuring succulent tiger prawns infused with Thai bird eye chili and orange segments – a true symphony of spice and zest.
The Drinks A good brunch isn't complete without exquisite cocktails, and Chica's bar menu, crafted by mixologist Noor Hussain, did not disappoint. From refreshing to fiery, each drink was a masterpiece:
Chicante: A perfectly piquant cocktail that balanced the heat of jalapeños with the sweetness of agave nectar and tartness of fresh lime, all tied together by the smoky depth of Creyente Mezcal. Call Me Chica: This playful mix of Don Julio, betel leaf bitter, jalapeño brine, and agave nectar was as intriguing as it was flavorful. Mandarin Blossom: A bright and refreshing drink featuring Tanqueray dry gin, elderflower liqueur, clarified citrus, and tonic – the perfect citrusy escape.
The Perfect Winter Escape What sets Chica apart is the seamless blend of vibrant energy and relaxed luxury. It’s the kind of place where you can lose track of time over gourmet bites, signature cocktails, and great company. The live music adds a festive vibe, making it the ultimate weekend escape.
If you're looking for a spot to unwind, indulge, and celebrate the joys of winter, Chica is the place to be. With its stellar food, creative cocktails, and warm hospitality, it promises an unforgettable brunch experience.
So, gather your crew, head to Chica, and let yourself be swept away by its charm. Trust me, it’s worth...
Read moreAmbiance (and good company) matters, so I had a good experience — but PR/appearances chica, they do lie sometimes. I would not recommend this place UNLESS your main aim is the cute/floral background for pictures. (I have all the time in the world to leave a detailed review that no one asked for, you’re welcome.)
I wanted to try this relatively new place CHICA at the bustling One Golden Mile for dinner with my girls; one of them warned us about the reviews online, but we went anyway.
1/ They hardly answer their phone (but chances to get entry without booking/knowing owners in Delhi ‘hotspots’ are low) — so managing our reservation was a dead-end task.
2/ There were fans for air circulation, but it was HOT (despite my dad sarcastically commenting, “soooo where’s your outfit,” as mine was almost non-existent, yet I was melting). Even the bugs were feeling hot and took fatal dips in all our drinks. We asked more than once if we could shift inside (air-conditioned) and they politely declined as it was ‘all booked’ — but it was ALL CAP (while crossing the area to go to their beautiful pink restrooms, we noticed only around 4 of 15 tables were actually taken, and it was almost midnight)
3/ it’s a good “small bites with your drinks” place, not for a wholesome satiating dinner (at least not under 4k/person). Pretty yummy stuff on the menu; the salmon avocado ceviche was especially delicious (ponzu is my weakness, gluttony is my sin) — but our server actually randomly took the plate away before the 5th and last bite (?!)
4/ They don’t have ‘suggested gratuity’ like countries with problematic laws that allow restaurants to underpay employees, expecting them to depend on customers’ tips/mercy to meet minimum wage — they flat out add the service tip to the bill total. It’s technically “optional,” but let’s face it, not many have the awareness to even check the bill, or face the social anxiety of asking for a new receipt / questioning it out of principle.
In short, did I enjoy my night — with the upbeat music, social-media-worthy decor, lively location, and conversations with my friends? Yes, I might even go again if everyone’s planning on it and I fail to convince them to...

Had a confirmed reservation for 6 people requesting an indoor table for Saturday night. (All this done well before the booking date)
First, the person at the gate takes no second effort to get the names right amidst loud music and keeps searching and attending to other people and phone calls while we wait. Good job on the arrogance.
After much hassle, we get escorted inside saying that we have a table for 5 people (don’t forget they dropped one person at their discretion already). Doesn’t end here. We reach indoors and are forced to take a table for 3 saying that this is what we have available as the other area is blocked for a party. Are you expecting the other 3 people to stand on our head and eat. Then when we get to ordering drinks, we get told that the bar tender can only make 5 from the whole menu as these are quick for it being a busy Saturday night. (The place remained more than half empty during our peak hours there from 10 to 12pm)
Well the icing on the cake was the non groovy and pathetic music which never got better even until late.
Well done to the entire Chica’s suited and booted non courteous and arrogant management. There are better places in Delhi for next time who genuinely care about people having a good time and worth all...
