colonel's kitchen — Restaurant in New Delhi

I am constrained to revise my previous rating of 3 star to 1 star based on two recent experiences - one a few days ago and the second one today, just prior to writing this revision. A few days ago we ordered a boneless Chicken Changezi, which this outlet was well known for earlier. It tasted like Chiken Tikka Masala, and that too on the spicier side. We actually thought that they had mixed up our order with someone else. However, today we ordered Paneer Dhaniya Adraki and Dal Tadka. Both were absolutely pathetic. There was so much salt in both items that they were unpalatable. Either they have lost their regular chef, or they no longer care about what they are dishing out to customers. In any case, this was absolutely my last order at this place.

The biggest problem with this place is that there is no consistency of quality. The second problem is that the place has changed ownership a couple of times and perhaps they are trying to survive on the old reputation, which gets difficult due to the lack of consistency.

Some of the items on the menu are excellent and some are mediocre. A couple of items that I CAN recommend are Paneer Dhaniya Adraki and Yellow Dal in veg, and Chicken Changezi in non-veg.

Excellent kitchen in Dwarka , Food Quality is A One and the taste is lip smacking. I am there regular customer since day1 and order food almost every week. They have completed an year now and have performed consistently good. Service & Staff deserve a special mention, as they pay special attention towards your requests and customizations.

Cheated. Food is OK but service is not. Got an SMS saying discount on all food at 15% but when the final bill came, no discount was applied and the Roti's too were charged at 30 instead of the 25 mentioned on their menu. I found out about this the next day when I analysed the final bill. Called them up 3-4 times but they never refunded the money. Therefore, Have Minimised my dealings with this restaurant to a bare minimum and only in case nothing better is available.
