THARAVADU KERALA RESTAURANT — Restaurant in New Delhi

Extremely disappointing experience!

I went there in the first week of their opening the restaurant for a family dinner. First of all, reaching the place was a horrible experience. There was an agent of the restaurant standing in the market area who told us to walk straight through a narrow street to reach the place. He was in no mood to help further and was talking on phone for long and only gave hand gestures. It was dark and we realised it was liquor vending area with small shops selling liquor and fries to go with it. Everyone there was drinking liquor in open! This will scare anyone and my family was terrified. We still somehow managed to reach the place.

There was no customers at 7 pm and the workers were sitting in a round table format and passing time. One of them came forward and told us that they can offer only 1-2 items that they have as they are not ready. We returned without eating. Unfortunately had to walk back through the same ugly lane.

I hope they will find an alternate entry way to the restaurant. Otherwise it is dangerous...

This is the best place to have Kerala food. Especially his Buff roast with South Indian Parotta,Chicken curry are best. Here I am having food from last 4 years and I must tell that this is the best place for buff roast with Kerala type Parotta.People living in Munirka should definitely try this place.Chetta makes the most delicious food. Had the worst experience that too on Onam. Worst service ever. Ordered Sadya from them for Onam, dint bring the order on time, we waited till evening to get our order. But we dint get the order, they said they cannot deliver at last saying our place is so far. If they have told this at the time of order confirmation our family wont starve on the day of Onam. We would have looked for other options. Cannot believe we trusted these people. We feel betrayed. Would never reccomend this place to another...
