The restaurant is located within the IOCL Museum premises, which gives it the advantage of steady walk-in traffic from visitors finishing their museum tour. It operates under the Vitthal Kamath brand—well-known across eastern and western India for its chain of restaurants.

In terms of food, the experience was fairly average. While nothing was particularly disappointing, the dishes didn’t stand out either. Service, however, was attentive and efficient, with the staff ensuring that orders were handled smoothly. One noticeable drawback was the limited choice for vegetarians—something that could have been better, especially given the diverse visitor profile the museum attracts.

On the positive side, the restaurant maintains good hygiene standards. The space was clean and well-kept, which adds to the comfort of dining here. Overall, it works as a convenient pit stop after exploring the museum, but if you’re looking for exceptional food or variety, you might leave...

We had a great experience in Kamat. Not only the food and service but the attitude and behaviour of the staff is worth mentioning. We had misplaced one of our belongings and Mr. Jitu had taken all the pain to convience the senior authority and help us find the item, we would be ever grateful to all the staff involved in the process along with their manager for the time and effort they had put in.

Also we were to travel by train and had requested them to pack Indian lunch for us during the breakfast hours. Their Indian cook was not available at that hour but they made all the necessary arrangement and handed us over ultimately delicious food on time packed very hygienically.

We would recommend everyone to visit this place which is bang opposite to the Konarak Sun Temple for a homely expereince away from home. Thank you once again Jituji for ur ultimate support and...

According to me this restaurant is the best place to have meals, If you are planning to visit Sun temple Konark.

You can find this place just opposite of Sun Temple. The ambience is pretty good and u can see the photographs of main tourist places of Odisha also.

I came to this place few days ago with my family to have lunch. I loved this place because the restaurant was so clean & hygienic. Specifically to maintain hygiene in tourist places is very tough but they maintained very well. The speciality of this place is sea fish. I tried the Khanga fish fry here & it was so delicious. I ordered so many items & every item was very testy. I am very happy with the services of this restaurant. So that my rating to this place is 4.5 out of...

Ummm, it's a bit sceptical! Been to this restaurant when we visited Konark and opted for dinner. It is a place situated in the premises of Arkakshetra Pavement. Food didn't taste that bad but not good also. Hygiene and safety of the place maintained really well. It is a cozy place for sure to have wonderful chats with your friend and families. Restrooms on the other hand, were good! Although, the food seemed a bit bland and bit costly for my liking. The endeavour made by Odisha govt. to execute the planning of such a cafe in the premises of Indian Oil is really beautiful. Though, this is own by a private food chain. Moreover, Kamat is more about the food we had and not for all the chaos I've just mentioned.

We had lunch at this restaurant when we visited the Sun temple at Konark as this is practically in the same compound. I had the Chicken Fried Rice and my wife and mother-in-law had plain rice. We had the Prawn 65 and the Tawa Fish with the rice items. We also had lime soda. All the items were uniformly great. The prawn and fish were very tasty and I wanted to have even more. The staff were quite courteous as well. I would definitely recommend trying it out if you are visiting the Sun temple.
