Had a wonderful dining experience at Bamboo House, Pune! If you're looking for a restaurant with a beautiful ambiance, delicious food, and a great mix of Indian, Chinese, and Thai cuisine, this place is a must-visit!
Food & Drinks:
The menu is quite diverse, offering a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. We tried: Butter Prawns – Juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Fish Curry – A must-try! Rich in flavors and paired well with steamed rice. Spicy Chicken – Tender and well-seasoned, with the right level of spice. Mocktails & Cocktails – Well-prepared and refreshing. Desserts – The ice cream and brownies were a perfect sweet ending to our meal.
The bar menu is also impressive, with a good selection of drinks.
Ambiance & Facilities: The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, with a bamboo-themed decor that adds to the charm. Whether you're looking for a cozy dinner or a lively evening with friends, the place caters to all moods. The open-air seating is especially nice for a relaxed dinner experience.
Valet Parking Available (although it can be limited during peak hours). Live Music on selected days adds to the overall vibe. Full Bar Service with a good selection of drinks.
Service: The service was fast and professional, with the staff being attentive and polite. Even though the place was crowded, the wait time was minimal, and the servers ensured we had a great experience. Some reviews mention slow service during peak hours, but we didn’t face any issues.
Pricing:
The average cost for two is around ₹1,800 (excluding alcohol). While it's slightly on the expensive side, the quality of food, ambiance, and service makes it worth it.
Overall Experience: Delicious & well-prepared food. Beautiful ambiance with bamboo-themed decor. Good service and courteous staff. Live music & full bar enhance the experience.
If you're in Shivaji Nagar, Pune, and looking for a place to enjoy good food and a great atmosphere, Bamboo House is highly recommended!...
Read moreApril - 2024 Update Absolutely pathetic service. It took iternity tos serve the food that we ordered. Everytime we had to ask for the accompaniments of the starters we ordered. They didn't serve any dip/chutney with Tikka/Kebab/Tandoori; after asking for it ,they took a lot of time to get that. And the epitome was, they charged additional than what we ordered. Do check the bill guys, these people are looting you so easily. Absolutely ridiculous experience, I ain't gonna visit here ever after today's experience.
Jan - 2023 - 5 star review. Absolutely loved the ambiance! Being in the heart of the city this place gives a very calm and soothing vibe where one can enjoy with family and friends a very scrumptious meal. It's an ideal place for parties, birthdays, informal meetings and even for a cozy date. This place serves both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options and even with a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The food tastes great and the quantity is really good. Considering the ambiance and food quality the prices are worth it. Ofcourse they are slightly more than the other restaurants but here one can seat for as much time as you want. The service takes some time so one can seat and have fun with the group. Being multi cuisine restaurant it offers wide range of Indian and continental options with varieties of chicken, mutton and seafood options. Overall I loved the ambiance, the food and the service is fair enough. On weekends it would take some time for you to get a table but...
Read moreI went there it to have a dinner date. I am from Mumbai and was unaware of any good places in Pune. This place was recommended by my from who lives in Pune. This can be good place if you are just hanging out with your friends. The have different sections where you can sit, the one which is air conditioned , I think , usually holds corporate small group parties and I found it to be loud. There is a spacious sitting area outside which is divided into two sections viz family and Others. Other section is very crowded with people driking and very noisy so It is not at all comfortable sitting there. Family section is atleast quite with good service and that would be a place to go in you are going there with your special friend.
About food, we ordered some 3-4 odd dishes which all were of average quality, nothing extraordinary. Fruit cocktail was very very sweet, kabobs were dry and chewy. We really got disappointed with their Biryani which was below average with not enough spice , taste and meet. This a place to go for a game day to watch sports with your friends while enjoying some beer. Don't expect very high quality food from here.
Overall 3.5 stars Taste- 3/5 Food portion- 3/5 Ambience-...
