A Disaster of a Dining Experience at Garden Court Restaurant

If you’re thinking about dining at Garden Court, let me save you the trouble—DON’T. My experience here was nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to write this review in the hopes that they take it seriously because this place needs a hell of a lot of improvement.

Let’s start with the service. The staff was unbelievably inattentive, as if customers were an afterthought. I had to flag down the waiter multiple times, and when he finally arrived, he acted like I was wasting his time. Basic hospitality was clearly missing.

Now, the food—oh boy, where do I even begin? I ordered Veg Lajawab and Dal Makhani in the main course. The waiter assured me that the Veg Lajawab would be medium spicy. What I got instead was a ridiculously sweet, unrecognizable mess. When I asked about the Dal Makhani, I specifically confirmed with the waiter if it was authentic Punjabi-style. He confidently said yes, but let me tell you—I’ve never had such a disaster of a Dal Makhani in my entire life. It was bland, lacked any depth of flavor, and was an insult to the dish’s name.

This restaurant clearly has no idea what they’re doing, neither in the kitchen nor on the floor. The staff needs serious training, and the chef needs to revisit what “authentic” or even “edible” means. Save your time, money, and taste buds—go elsewhere.
