We were at this place by 10:00 PM and witnessed some irritated customers. 2-3 customers who were around left after either having their dinner partially or didnt eat anything since even after 45 mins delay they were served nothing. We decided to stay back and ordered our food. There was a party/function in progress in a secluded part. It wasn't noisy.
Starter was served with a bit of delay, it was manageable. Taste was good. Now comes the bad read,
we ordered 3 non-alcoholic drinks, 2 were served, pertaining to 3rd one, the order was wrong , after multiple chasers it was never served by 11:20 PM.
the main course followed the starters. We could only see the large plates placed in front. We asked the roti to be served in small plate and the gravy in large one, the waiter enlightened us that there is no small palte available and all the plates were used for the private party/get together. How come a chain of this stature fall short of bakelite plates. We were still fine with it, since it was quiet late and me and my wife along with my 8 year old were hungry. When we followed up for noodles we were told, start with what is served, and they will get other stuffs soon.
We ordered noodles for my kid, @11:15 we were told the dish isn't available. To make a note we ordered main course and starters in a go. After 45 mins of ordering food @GP you figure out the kitchen is out of food.
We left the place whithout main course, since no one did put effort(s) to give us a replacement. The staff vanished when I asked for a bill. How can someone eat with their kid not being served food (and my kid doest eat nonveg that we ordered). The manager came after 10 mins and gave us a bill, the main course was not billed. We denied paying 'service charge' and the manager didnt resist
So a note to owners of this place, Teach some manners to waiters. You dont charge less to customers, your place is supposed to serve food to customers with a pinch of hospitality. You cant afford to say, eat what is served first. If no one knows where the order is because of a group function, better stop serving, concentrate on the function/event. Atleast use your resources in the functions, let the staff only serve them. You dont charge less, so that a substandard service can be treated as compromise to price.
Everyone seems overloaded, no one knows where the orders are. Bills are placed wrong in front of customers.
If it takes 20 mins to get the empty glasses, you know where your place is heading. Some of the orders never reached us. Someone has to look into all this....possibly owners. You are apparently understaffed, everyone around feels so, by virtue of your so sluggish service.
Talk to your staff, educate them, help them. So that people dont decide to never show up at any of your outlet ''EVER". One cannot stand the fact that the resto cant serve food to their customers after they are around for like 1.5 HOURS.
The resto is yours, the...
Read moreAs a lover of Indian cuisine, I was thrilled to discover Global Punjab Restaurant in kharadi, a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the city. Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere, with the aroma of spices wafting through the air, setting the stage for a truly authentic Punjabi culinary experience.
The menu at Global Punjab Restaurant boasts an impressive array of Punjabi delights, and I was spoilt for choice with the extensive selection of appetizers, mains, and desserts. The attentive and friendly staff helped me navigate the menu, and I was impressed with their knowledge of the dishes and their willingness to make recommendations based on my preferences.
To start, I ordered the tandoori murg, which was a delightful medley of succulent chicken, perfectly cooked in the traditional clay oven. The flavors were robust and tantalizing, with just the right amount of smokiness, and the accompanying mint chutney added a refreshing burst of flavor.
For the main course, I couldn't resist trying the classic butter chicken, which is a staple in Punjabi cuisine. The rich tomato-based gravy was packed with aromatic spices and the tender chicken pieces melted in my mouth. I also tried the mutton kheema, which was slow-cooked to perfection.
The naan bread was freshly baked and served piping hot, with a perfect balance of chewiness and crispiness. I also enjoyed the fragrant basmati rice, which was fluffy and fragrant, complementing the curries perfectly.
To end the meal, I indulged in the traditional Punjabi dessert, gulab jamun & rabari, which was a revelation. The tasty, treat was bursting with flavors of cardamom, pistachios, and saffron, and provided a sweet and refreshing conclusion to my culinary journey.
What truly sets Global Punjab Restaurant apart is not only the outstanding quality of the food but also the warm and hospitable service. The staff made me feel right at home, and their passion for Punjabi cuisine was evident in their attention to detail and willingness to share their knowledge.
In conclusion, Global Punjab Restaurant is a haven for lovers of Punjabi cuisine, offering an authentic and delightful culinary experience. From the warm ambiance to the impeccable service and the mouthwatering flavors of the dishes, every aspect of the dining experience exceeded my expectations. Read moreVisited the this restaurant today i.e September 30th, 2024. I decided to go to this restaurant as I have heard positive feedbacks from my friend circle but I was completely disappointed by the kind of service and food served.
It was a weekday today so thought the rush will be less and was hoping for good service.
The manu they have mentioned at entrance stating “today’s special” was not available. If it is not available, why it is in the list?
Alternate option was served. The experience started going negative from this point when the waiter just put the order on the table and left. No one bother to serve the dish.
They were focusing majority on other table which was group of around 20 people. Does it mean we don’t have any value?
Ordered Veg Tiranga dish. The dish prepared was just for a sake. No taste in any of the main course. No curtsey to ask the customer if they need anything else or everything if fine.
It spoiled the complete mood of our lunch. Besides no rush in the restaurant, the preparation time taken was too long. This doest not happen in small restaurants.
We thought our choice of dish mistaken so ordered Veg Hydrabadi Biryani. It looks like someone just cooked palak sabji and rice together.
Completely overcooked and again lack if taste.
Restaurant only looks good from outside. I request the owner of the restaurant to at least teach some lessons on hospitality of your customers. Even if your food is not that good, people will not experience the frustration.
They did not billed for biryani as they understood we didn’t like it. But that is not going to...
