Service - 5/5 Ambience - 4.5/5 Food 2.5/5 VFM 3/5 Excellent ambience and very friendly staff, but I can't say the same about the food.
The Ambience is big and airy. Almost all the seating is a low height sofa & table except one section where they have regular table & chair. They also have a small Garden for children's to play so that you can enjoy your meal time. The Ambience is archival style and it feels really nice and uplifts you at dinner time. The service is great and the staff is really friendly. The orders do take a Lil more time as the place is always busy. The owner (probably) Is always having a walk around keeping an eye on the service as well as having interaction with the customers. It's a really good thing and needs to be appropriate. These all good things. Now lets come to the sour grapes And that's Food. I went with my family. So we had Chicken Tandoori, Mutton Fry, Mutton Handi and Chicken Handi and Mutton Biryani. Mutton fry and Biryani were good. No complaints. The curry was just ok. The food, NO, It didn't taste like cooked on an earthen stove. This is probably the biggest complaint I have with this place. Look, the food was good, but none of the items stands out in the name of the restaurant. And Chicken Tandoori was disliked by all us. No, a strict no to this dish. Tandoori should be like the one we get at Reddy's in Viman Nagar. There can't be a variation in the style of tandoori. Otherwise, you lose its authenticity. That's what was lacking in the tandoori. This was the starter dish and as we did not like it, it started the dinner on the wrong note. And to be frank, the price is on the higher side so there can't be a compromise on the feel of the food. That pretty much sums it up. It's definitely a place to visit for its ambience and service, but I can't say the same about the food. But as I always say, your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have visited this place twice in the last two months, and unfortunately, my experiences have not been great. Despite reading the positive Google reviews that compelled me to visit, I discovered a different reality.
One major issue I encountered at this establishment was their insistence on asking for a 5-star review in exchange for a 5% discount on the bill. This practice made me question the authenticity of the positive reviews.
However, the primary problem lies in the service. It is extremely slow, and coupled with uncomfortable seating, it makes for an uncomfortable dining experience, especially if you plan to spend around 30 minutes to an hour there with your family.
Allow me to share my specific experiences:
During my visit, we ordered six special mutton Thalis. The preparation and delivery of our order took nearly 30 minutes.
To worsen matters, each roti took an additional 10-15 minutes to arrive, making our dinner experience quite unpleasant.
When we requested cold water and cold drinks, they were not available, which was disappointing.
In the Special Mutton Thali, they serve a fixed quantity of Gulab Jamun.
We decided not to consume the Gulab Jamun, and when we asked to have it packed, they refused, stating that they do not pack leftovers from Thalis. This refusal seemed both morally and logically incorrect, as we simply wanted to avoid wasting it.
The waiters lacked politeness and were somewhat rude in their interactions, lacking the appropriate level of respect.
We inquired if they could make butter rotis, even if it meant an additional charge. Unfortunately, they flatly rejected our request.
Regarding the taste, it was merely okay. Nothing particularly special or remarkable.
Based on my experiences, I cannot recommend visiting this place. I, for one, will not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreChul mutton was a treat from the taste buds and especially of you love mutton. We had ordered chicken seekh kabab, mutton thali, mutton fry, dal fry and modak icecream.
Mutton thali - AMAZING. My mom loved the mutton options, mutton stew was very refreshing with coriander flavour. Chapati served were super soft. We initially ordered one thali, however it was so tasty that we ordered one more for the table. My father cooks amazing mutton, however we did not eat mutton due to teeth problem. He too tasted each option and acknowledged the taste as great. Mutton fry- it was mind blowing must try.
Everything else was superb too, however the cherry on top of should I say the winning strike was the reluctant modak icecream we tried. Our server Swapnil showed great zeal at making our experience amazing and insisted us on trying modak icecream. It was fantastic! We needed up ordering 4 icecreams, it was that Great....a Must must must try if you like desserts and have a sweet tooth, you won't regret it.
Overall a great place. The only disappointment is the washrooms. I really wish resturants start paying attention towards cleanliness and maintenance of the washrooms. We cannot have an overall 5 star experience he washrooms are sticky, leaky and not maintained properly. PLEASE pay attention to fix the washroom problems.
Apart from that everything else was enjoyable including...
