We had visited this hotel on 24th with prebooking for 1 mutton raan and 1 chicken raaj. Limited alcohol can be served inside hotel with regular cost. Food ordered Mutton Raan(₹1500): prebooked didn't come as good as we had so much expectations. It was dry and not so well cooked. After we gave feedback owner gave us another one with ribs and it turned out to be better than previous. Thats 3 rating otherwise only 2. However, overall quality of Raan is not as good as some other hotels we had tried around Pune.
Chicken Raan: we had to cancel it as we had enough mutton
Chicken handi: chicken curry wad awesome would recommend everyone to finish your meal with atleast rassa vari
Rice : poor quality of rice. Indrayni rice would have been better. Rice quality was like chinese fried rice.
Starter they have given some pizza kinda of roti with toppings and it was good. Someone who is hungry will fulfill his soul until your order comes
Ambience: Average. Enough seating arrangements for alcoholic n non alcoholic. Nothing much over there as it's in rural area. Should improve bit for family area.
Service: ok ok service no complaints but not so happy too. You willbe attended regularly.
Travelling from Pune: Risk if we you are spending 1.5-2 hours and if u get not so quality raan. Better find some hotels near to pune.
Traveling from far than Pune: You will be...

They proudly served the dish — cold enough to give Antarctica competition. We politely mentioned it, expecting some warmth (from the food, not their attitude). The waiter took it back, marched into the kitchen like a hero… and returned after a while with the same cold Ran! I guess they heated the plate and forgot to heat the mutton inside. Maybe they believe in cold-pressed Ran for better health benefits? 🙄
At that point, even our patience froze solid. We paid, saluted their confidence, and rushed back to Pune, where a small local hotel fed us food ten times tastier and actually above room temperature.
Cleanliness? Let’s just say Swachh Bharat didn’t pass through this area. Family place? Only if your family includes whiskey bottles and shouting uncles.
Overall verdict: 🔥 If disappointment had a restaurant, this would be its franchise. If you still end up in Choufula, skip the Ran and go 3-4 km ahead for the famous jaggery tea — it’s warmer, cleaner, and emotionally...
