Kannu Ki Chai We recently visited Pune's most famous Chai Cafe- Kannu Ki Chai, NIBM outlet. It's a great hangout spot or perfect for quick meetups over their special tea and bun maska. They have outer and inner seating arrangements available. Their service is prompt. They serve around 50+ food items ranging from fries, sandwiches, burgers, maggie, pizzas, brownies, croissants and many more. We loved their signature sandwich, veg extravaganza pizza, veggie toastie and peri peri fries accompanied with guava and pineapple coolers and chocolate brownie shake. We had a delightful experience here. Looking forward to visiting them again to indulge in their chai and bun maska- their speciality and other dishes.

Have tried couple of items here: 1. Adrak Chai - It's one of the best 2. Samosa - Very tasty 3. Samosa Chat - Very tasty( cause of the tasty samosas) But besides these 3 almost everything that we tasted is not at all good 1. Pakoda - Superfried and very hard. One of the worst 2. Filter Coffee - Okayish and they forget to add sugar sachets in the parcel. So I had to throw it away. 3. All puffs (both beg and nonveg)- worst. Had to throw them away. So the best thing you can have here is just Adrak chai and Samosa. The menu list must be revised and better items must be added. Also they should reduce their prices it's way too expensive.

If you ask me, I'm a sucker for tea in its original format. Boiling the leaves (powder? It's blasphemy!) to a concentrate and murdering it by adding milk is not my cup of tea. Still, Kannu ki chai kills it gently. The overwhelming flavour of ginger is due to public demand, perhaps. One can't shift public opinion overnight, right? Having said that, I am at loss why these joints have to sell simple, humble indian hot drink at an exorbitant price ! Just because you are named Jason, must you study in convent school? In today's times, packaging matters. But then it's just packaging. It will only run for decades when the matter inside the package is good and cost appropriate. Think about it guys...
