The first thing that strikes you about Grove Pizzeria is the other couple of places it’s bunched with, giving it something of a cloud kitchen feel with dine in as an appendage. The outdoor space is cafeteria style seating with a couple of trees. Though it’s located on a fairly busy road across a mall the outdoor space is not too loud and most likely pleasant in the evening. We went for lunch and chose to sit in the small indoor section. Too hot outside. A solitary AC struggles to cool the section. Most likely because of the multiple doors and openings that seemed permanently open. There’s no decor to speak of beyond the basic seating. The place desperately needs a fly trap. The service was slow and inattentive to the three tables occupied. The waitress got my coffee order wrong, but the server offered to first the error. So, kudos to the server. The pizza took ages to arrive. We ordered a Grilled Chicken pizza. Their standard size is a 12” with a Sourdough base. It looked good and tasted good too, but the floppy base made it difficult to eat without folding it thrice over. If I tried to hold it like a regular slice, the toppings would just fall off. Use a fork and knife and it disintegrates. Not sure what the issue is cause the pizza was neither heavily sauced nor did it feel stale or reheated. Simply put, you shouldn’t have to scoop the toppings up and eat pizza like you’re eating nachos. I will definitely give Grove another shot but this is a place that can do a lot better with some more attention to detail in the food and decor and more attentive staff. We paid 800/- for a coffee and pizza. Not a lot but not exactly a budget meal either. Give it a whirl if you’re around the area. Wouldn’t recommend seeking it...
Read moreThis place is famous for its wood fired pizza and the pizza won't disappoint you. They also have appetizers, pastas, panino, and sandwiches on their menu as well. We also ordered Agilo Olio Pasta and Capresse Panino along with Pesto Cherry tomato Pizza. All items were delicious and the portions of the meal were appropriate. The staff is quite friendly and helpful. There is also a small dessert place called Rihla bakehouse just beside this pizzeria which serves Gelato and some other Italian desserts. We tried Pistachio and Lemon Gelato with Tres leche. The gelato was the highlight of this dinner and worth the money. I tried Tres leche for the first time so I didn't expect how the taste would be. But it was surprisingly tasty. If you are looking to eat an authentic Italian wood fire pizza along with some yummy desserts, this is the place for you in Baner. One thing to add here is, we had a horrible experience with this restaurant when we ordered food from Zomato. For the first order, they delivered 1 tiramisu instead of 3. They were ordered for a celebration so we were pretty disappointed. They did make it up to us by delivering the remaining 2 tiramisus the next day evening. For the second order, they made us switch the pizzas because their dine-in menu changes but they forgot to change their Zomato menu. For the third order, we again ordered tiramisu for the celebration and they cancelled our order saying tiramisu is not available because they didn't care to update it on Zomato. So, it would be helpful if they improve their online...
