Living in a buzzing,savvy ,happening location where in such a short span of time, many new restaurants have mushroomed …plenty of choices, saving you time ,shorter journey and you arrive at the restaurant feeling cool and crisp.! Lucky you!

Well I headed with my foodie friends to this new cool hangout place serving Mexican food… #TacoAlfresco!!

Barely a month old, on the main paud road, location Chitralekha Society, between Kaka Halwai Sweets and old reliance mall, Ideal colony, Kothrud. Ambience is cool, with an open kitchen, very clean, comfortable seating… outdoor as well as indoor(Upstairs) dainty tables and chairs.

The similarities of any other food to our own desi food, heard Mexican comes closest. Not starting a debate , however I do agree Mexican food is quite delicious, satisfying and easy on the palate. It was time to taste this cuisine again..

Drinks: #Cafélatte with add-on Irish syrup : Served hot, very welcoming. They have many add on options.

#Pomegranate_Iced_tea : in-house tea blended with fresh pomegranate juice including the pomegranate seeds. So as you sip, you ocassionally bit. Refreshing and detoxing. #recommended

#Orange_velvet_smoothie : Eye - catching. Generally if you like the appearance, there is a clear possibility you will like the taste. Orange and red velvet.. soulful #musthave

#Black_Devil_smoothie : Goodness of bananas, activated charcoal, almond. Healthy drink. This is an acquired taste, even if the ingredients are known. One of their popular smoothie I was told. For me, it didn’t go down well…but tastes are subjective.

Assorted #Tacos : Each taco comes with a Sider of nachos. At Taco Alfresco, choose a soft or hard shelled taco. However if you order thru online, the taco base is hard shell. Most of the tacos that we had were made with freshest of fresh veggies lettuce, peppers, tomatoes, in-house made sauces like Chipotle, fajita, and dips like avocado, guacamole, and Peri Peri Mayo etc

About the Tacos…. #Fajita_Chichen : Crunchy-ish lettuce, peppers, onions in fajita seasoning, cheese and sour cream. #musthave

#Bacon_Lettuce_Tomatoes(BLT) again wow! However more bacon please!

#Barbeque_Paneer : Crunch crunch veggies, soft cottage cheese with the tanginess of the in-house BBQ sauce. I was in love with the sauce #recommended

#Chipotle_Chicken : Very Mexican, dominating Chipotle chilly mayonnaise sauce in soft shell. #Highlyrecommend

#Khowsuey_Chicken in soft shell: surprised me with burst of flavors…this one did taste like a Burmese khow suey with the sprinkling of condiments ..peanuts and burnt garlic on top. #highlyrecommended

#Burrito_bowl ( cilantro prawns) : Bowl with Mexican preparation of rice, refined beans, cilantro, prawns and veggies. It is wholesome but lacked flavor and salt. #Chickenque_Chicken_sausage_Burrito_wrap :A meal huge wrap with chicken, Mexican rice, beans, veggies. The quantity of sauce and spice was missing needs to improvise.

The relevant feedback was shared with the owner who was open to suggestions. With the concept of an open kitchen one can see how your meal is prepared. After Indian food Mexican food is something I always crave for and look forward too. Discovered this place, located on the rushy lanes of Ideal Colony. Place is appropriate for an eatery to be. Menus is very appealing and promising. Loved how courteous the staff were. They try helping you out in making right choices. Quantity and the quality of food is satisfying. I loved TACOS! Taco Alfresco is definitely doing justice in providing some kickass Tacos. Pune definitely needed a place like this. Moreover the place is AFFORDABLE. HOT CHOCOLATE Guys! This is the finest hot chocolate I had in recent times. The consistency was just right for me. Not very thick. The hot chocolate had ample amount of chocolate, rich and super comforting. totally recommending!

BERRY BLAST SMOOTHIE As thr name says, you get a blast of fresh sweet-tangy flavours as you try sipping on the drink. The sweetness is balanced.

BLACK DEVIL SMOOTHIE This is something different. The smoothie is basically a activated charcoal smoothie blended with banana and milk. The smoothie has high nutritional values and moreover has not artificial sweetener agents which make it more healthy drink.

CHIPOTLE CHICKEN TACO The chipotle chicken I had it in hard shell. The shell was perfect crisp and light. The taco was filled with tender and fresh chicken chunks and loaded with fresh veggies and sauces. The taco was not at all bland, full of flavour and awesomeness.

BARBEQUE PANEER TACO For this one I went for soft shell. The shell was fresh and soft. The barbeque flavour was on point. This tacos was slightly on the spicier side which I loved. The paneer used was fresh. Recommending this ! Definitely give it a try.

FAJITA CHICKEN QUESADILLA Quesadilla is my personal fav. I've personally tried them at many places but trust me this one was worth trying. Perfectly cooked and made. Taco Alfresco is one of the best places where you can get delicious Mexican food.

The ambience is simple yet beautiful and both outdoor and indoor seating is available.

In beverages, we tried their Black Devil smoothie and the pomegranate iced tea. The ice tea was quite refreshing and tangy. The black devil smoothie had banana, activated charcoal, Chocolate and it was topped with finely chopped nuts.

The main attraction of this place is their tacos and quesadillas! So we had ordered their Khow Suey chicken tacos and Chipotle Tacos. The tacos come with 2 options, hardshell and softshell,as per the dish you can choose the taco shell.

When I had the first bite of the show suey taco I was amazed by the flavours it delivered! It was as if I was eating the khow suey broth! Totally loved this item and it is a must-try over here. The Chipotle chicken taco came with a hard shell which had tender chicken pieces, cheddar cheese, lettuce and topped with Chipotle sauce. Quite spicy and quite authentic.

The burrito bowl is an item which will fill your tummy to the fullest. We had their Prawn Cilantro burrito bowl which came with Mexican rice, black beans, corn and prawn cooked in cilantro sauce. Comfort food and does not burn a hole in your pocket.

We ended our meal by having their Hot chocolate and it was pretty amazing. Loved the consistency of it, not too thick and not too thin, just perfect!
