The Good Butter Bakery (pre orders only) — Restaurant in Pune

It was my first experience with sourdough breads & I am so glad to have tried The Good Butter Bakery. In past I have tried their sweet offerings at Pagdandi & I was mightily impressed, carrying on their standards this bread experience was nothing short of stunning.

The chewy exterior, soft interior with some amazing gluten art & a slight tinge of sourness to highlight the sourdough characteristics makes this a perfect bread for someone looking for a good sourdough experience to start with.

Agree its slightly pricey as compared to traditional breads available in different bakeries, but trust me if you get to know the amount of hard work that goes right from the making-feeding-maintaining the starter to sourcing the best ingredients along with countless experiments to get the perfect hydration as well as the bake time - it is worth every single penny you would shell out.

Amazing and well thought list of items on the menu.. Real taste of good ness in each bite whether its cakes, breads, cookies etc. Consistency in quality that you can expect in every order. For me all the items have become reference on how it should taste in reality !. All the ingredients are best chosen to make it as authentic it could be, with a touch of unique style that Smitha has (mixing local ingredients). .Example is adding Ragi to Sourdough . I had ordered an almond vanilla cake with cheese cake frosting for two reasons I love cheesecakes I do not like the conventional cakes with cream frosting which itches throat after sometime

Also, i am not a cake person but this cake was delicious and flavourful that i could finish it all by myself. Different and stands out

Although this bakery does not have a commercial place but its worth the wait and the efforts because they bake when you order so you are sure to get freshly baked cake.
