What I tasted... They have an impressive starter menu.. and you are spoilt for choices.. We were served..

1. Mozarella fingers

3. Penne Arrabiata
4. Oriental Kumpao potato
5. Pepper garlic chicken
6. Lemon garlic chicken
7. Tandoori paneer cheese Tikka
8. Sundae aloo

The showstoppers for me were..

1. the chicken popcorns --- these are not only crunchy, delicious and addictive but also one of the best. Serve with dips.. all you need to do is to dip the little pieces of glories into the dips and enjoy the loud crunch and munch. #SimplyIrresistible

2)Penne Arrabiata --- the Classic and Simple Penne Arrabiata in a spicy tomato sauce will please all the spice lovers out there.. A dish that I would definitely order on every visit. #Musttry

3. Oriental Kungpao potatoes ---- the spin to a Chinese dish or a Chinese recipe with an Indian twist. Baby potatoes deep fried and stir fried in a nutty and spicy Kung Pao sauce will leave you wanting for more.. perfect as a starter or a side dish. #AWinner

4)Murg Kasturi kebabs ---- Chicken kebabs flavoured with pepper and dried methi leaves.. the creamy , juicy and tender chicken pieces simply irresistible. #Goforit

5)Murg Chandni sheekh kebabs --- juicy seekhs , extra delicious and with a hint of lemon these kebabs are the simplest yet tastiest starters. #Lovedit

In the mocktails .. I loved the sip of..

1. Pom _ grenade.. pomegranates, basil leaves , cranberry and sugar syrup.. all perfectly balanced , mildly sweet and refreshing.

2. Citus cooler --- Orange juice mint and lime.. simple and very satisfying.

3. Lemony snichet --- Lemon grass , orange juice and sugar syrup.. fresh and lemony .. perfect all weather mocktail.

For the main course it was their Chicken dum biriyani..

Good aroma and taste , chicken biriyani that isn't too oily , spicy , hot or pungent.. they have nailed it.. #JustPerfect

For desserts it was their in house special 1)Chanku and Manku.. 5 star Chocolate bars coated and deep fried , served with 2 big scoops of vanilla ice cream and generously drizzled with chocolate sauce.. it was a stellar dessert.. and shouldn't be missed at any cost. #outstanding 2) Chefs special ice cream sundae.. Scoops of different flavoured ice creams served on a bed of fresh fruits. Was very yumm too..

The Mafia This place is located in vimannagar on the 9th floor of Sky vista building. One of the best rooftop I've ever visited. If you want to chill and settle to drinks with your friends then this is the perfect place to visit. The perfect rooftop from where you can get a beautiful scene of the vimannagar city. Also if you visit there in the evening you can also enjoy the perfect sunset view and feel the moment. Also the music played here is pleasant and you can enjoy it by having your food. Flying saucer was used to be here first now it has changed to MAFIA. Also there are live performances performed so you can enjoy that too. So we started with the drinks . We had Virjin Pinacolada, Citrus Cooler, Cucumber cooler, Frozen pomegranate juice, Bloody Mary, 11 kiss, Trophical gateway. Every mocktail had a good taste. But personally I loved the pinacolada so much, it had a perfect soothing taste which made my mind blew off. Do not miss the mocktails here. enjoy any mocktail with the perfect sunset view if you visit here by evening. Then we had starters. We started with conti - magic mushroom(it was like a cheese bomb. It was presented very well. It was crispy from outside and cheesy from inside.I would recommend to try this dish), Mozarella fish( Had a good cripsy taste and tasted more yummy with the dip), Chicken Popcorn(These were small balls of chicken which were perfect in taste), Penne Arrabiata, Orintal- kumpao patato, Chilli garlic babycorn mushroom, pepper garlic chicken, lemon grass chicken, Nisi goring(Egg yolk perfectly topped on rice. Had this dish for the first time and it was so nicely presented), Paneer cheese tikka (this dish is highly recommended by me, perfectle cooked paneer stuffed with cheese. As you have you first bite the cheese melts in your mouth which gives you a very satisfying taste), Saunde aloo, Murgh kasturi kebab, Murg chandini Sheek kebab, Ghee roast Chicken and atlast we had the Murgh dum biryani. Every starter was upto mark and it didn't disappointed in taste. But I seriously loved the paneer cheese tikka. And after this we had dessert. We had chocolate mousse cake, Mafia's Special Dessert, Hot brownie. I loved the Mafia's Special Dessert it was so amazing, the quantity was enough for 2-3 people. Also loved the chocolate mousse cake as it was presented so good. Overall this is my favourite rooftop place to visit. Everything including the starters, Drinks , ambience were amazing. The service is also fast. The ambience is so pleasant and delighful that when you visit here you get good vibes. Do visit...

The Mafia

Summer season is creeping in and I am beginning my hun for some of the best rooftop restaurants around town. Where I can destress myself and enjoy the cool breeze after a hectic and sweaty day at work.

The first place which I explored in my expedition to find the best rooftop restaurant in Pune is, "The Mafia". Located on the 10th floor of SKY Vista, Lunkad Reality, Viman Nagar this is a marvelous setup. Replacing the very popular Flying saucer this place keeps the vibe intact if not 1 upping it.

Looking at the Pune skyline (if there is any) and the beautiful setting sun is something which gives me immense peace. The place welcomes you with a chic lobby which is well illuminated in the warm yellow light to set the tone right. As you enter you see an open bar with a couple of barman doing the tricks which are enchanting to watch. If you decide to move on from there you can pick the tables along the railing to get the best view possible.

Once settled you can start thing about the food, here's something I would recommend you should try

1. Crispy Veg: This is, in my opinion, a perfect appetizer to munch on while you talk to your friends or your date. about the gorgeous view, you can see outside. Perfectly crisp veggies with a sweet and sour taste. Mushroom, baby corn, broccoli and cauliflower which is deep-fried with plain flour and cornflour batter.

2. Veg Badam Kofta: You must have had kofta curry at many places. But if you want to experience a new take on kofta curry, try this one. Kofta curry served with rice had a rich texture and a very homely and comforting taste.

3. Mafia Special: Heaven for Ice-cream junkies. Fried Ice-cream served with dry fruits and fresh fruits. A roller coaster ride for your taste buds. If you ever want to surprise your taste buds and experience a blast of different textures and tastes, this is the dessert to order.

Chanku N' Manku: Funny name isn't it? But this was the best of the lot. Deep-fried 5 star (yes you need to read that again) served with Ice-cream and garnished with dry fruits and chocolate sauce. It is something that makes the child in me happy.

I would especially like to applaud the creativity that the barman puts in the presentation of every drink that comes out. Whether its a mocktail like chatpata mojito or a fresh juice, every drink has a special plating.

Overall I would urge you to give "The Mafia" a visit for the effort that has been put into setting up the place and the gorgeous view...
