#IWasInvited #Misal
I love all Maharashtrian dishes and Misal is one of them. I was super excited to visit this place and had high hopes. Their 1st outlet is near Navale Bridge and one of it’s kind in Pune. They have recently opened a new 2nd outlet in Majestic Navkaar, Kondhwa Budruk.
Reached just in time and they were opening the shop. The guy incharge of the shop told us to wait for sometime. We sat inside and in sometime they came in with the BBQ misal.
Why is BBQ misal different from the typical misal? BBQ misal comes with unlimited 4 different types of rassa, bread and farsan.
The 4 types of rassa are NASHIK RASSA- Kaala Masala and made with green chillies PUNERI RASSA - Sweet and Tangy Rassa KOLHAPURI RASSA - Medium Spicy Kolhapuri JAIN RASSA - Specially made without onion, garlic, and ginger.
The tables are designed in such a way that the Rassa is kept in between and below that there's hot coal. This keeps the rassa hot. In addition to this they give yellow potato भाजी , pohe, sprouts aka matki, chopped onions and lemons, dahi. They serve 6 laadi paav and 2 big bread slices.
My opinion on Thorat's Baarbeque Misal is VFM and unlike the typical misal where the oil flavor is overpowering this stands out in the crowd. Please try them if you are a...

They have 4 types of "Tarri"-: 1)PUNERI 2)NASHIK 3)KOLHAPURI 4)JAIN
Each tarri is unique in it's on way
PUNERI -: Well its the combination of sweet and spicy and my personal favorite. Once it gets onto your taste buds its difficult to resist yourself.
NASHIK -: This is made by green chillies. This tarri has bland taste. If you love less spicy then this might be the one!!!
KOLHAPURI -: Well Kolhapur is famous for its chilli and so is this. This the "SPICY" one. Must try if you love spicy misal!!
JAIN :- How can we forget the kids. This misal tari is really tasty and can be eaten by anyone... Old people, kids, adults Anyone.. It has sweet flavor and spicy...
I went with my guests on 16th May to have the famous Thorat Barbeque Misal at Shantinagar branch. The waiter brought the plates containing matki, farsan, poha and aaloo bhaji. I tasted all the things and what I found was the aloo bhaji served was stale. It was very cold as of taken out from refrigerator and also had a bad smell. I immediately reached out to the waiter and one in the kitchen with my concern stating it was not fresh and was from previous day. He cleared the things and came with plates without aloo bhaji upon enquiring for aloo bhaji he committed the fresh bhaji is yet to come and that's why did not serve us. The misal with different tarri served was good in taste but then what happened with the bhaji is not expected from a brand like Thorat misal.
Thorat misal should take care of such things and make sure the customers are served with fresh and hygienic food for which they are charging and for which we are coming.
Also there was no coal flamed as they claim in...
