Thorat's Barbeque Misal - Hadapsar — Restaurant in Pune

1st Visit :- Visited this place few months back when it was just started. We ordered two different Misal Puneri and Kolhapuri Misal. Puneri Misal was quite good in taste. It was spicy and sour. We liked and enjoyed it. Kolhapuri Misal was very spicy. It was so spicy that I just had 4-5 bites and left it as it is. Kolhapuri Misal for those people who have food very spicy. Unfortunately I was the one who ordered it and my friend was having Puneri Misal 😏 Overall Ambience and taste was good except Kolhapuri Misal.

2nd Visit - As I remember it was 26th Jan 2020 there was huge waiting. We had to wait for long time to get seat. Because of having bad experience about Kolhapuri Misal we ordered two Puneri Misal. I noticed that there was change in taste. As their Puneri Misal speciality is spicy and sour. But we did not feel that taste for single bite. After this disappointment while doing payment at billing counter I thought I should give this feedback. I went to person who was there at billing counter I told him taste was not satisfactory like the first time of Puneri Misal. He said me "Since morning more than 100 people visited the place". I was shocked I was like how can any staff give such response to Customer ? He was supposed to say like we will look into it and will try to improve taste or maintain quality as it is.

Overall review of 2nd Visit was not that good. Staff or whoever person was their at counter did not have any kind of Etiquettes like how to talk with Customers.

3rd Visit 20th Nov 2020 :-

This time my friend and I had tried Unlimited Misal. Good Points - With Unlimited option one can try 4 types of Misal. You get all things separately like separate Farsan, Matki, Curd, Pohe and 4 types of Rassa. You can customise it as per your requirement. For unlimited option you get good service. Waiter keeps on coming frequently and ask if you need anything.

Improvement Needed Points :- Important missing ingredients in BBQ Misal is there is no MATKI in Rassa or Cury. They are adding boiled Matki in Misal for limited and providing separate bowl of boiled Matki for unlimited. Basics and most important ingredient missing here. Rassa or Cury must have Matki in it and not adding separately. Because of Boiled Matki you will never have actual taste of Misal. First their is no basic ingredient and in unlimited option there are not providing boiled potato. In BBQ Misal I will say there is just Quantity and not Quality.

Overall Review :- This place is for those people who want to have food in Quantity and not for Quality. No Etiquettes to staff how to respond to...

When I visited,there was waiting of 15 minutes. They offer unlimited Misal at Rs.99. And this is USP for people who don't want spend much on lunch or dinner. They serve all Misal ingredients separately and you need to make Misal as per your choice. They serves you. Matki. Baked potato. Pohe. Chopped onion-lemon Curd. After that they serves you 4 types of Misal gravy called Rassa/Sample. Kolhapur. Nashik. Pune. Jain. You should know how to make Misal and how much quantity is required of ingredients to make it as per your requirement. They served grilled Paav as well as bread in one basket. If user don't know what to mix then it's not impressive for them. Personally I liked the concept. Taste is good but can be improved. They serve everything unlimited except other food items like Sol kadhi or lassi. Decent place to visit with family...
