Believe me this place serves delicious kulchas. I had read lot about this place and kilchas were awesome. On an average you can not have more than two as they are heavy and loaded with butter. The kulchas are stuffed with a mix of aloo and gobhi filling with moderate spices served with tasty tangy imli chutney and chole which you can have unlimited free.
I had a choice in my short visit to have kulchas at kulcha land or All India famous kulcha at Maqbool road.I read that chef Vikas Khanna admires kulchas at this place and he says he learnt kulchas watching here, so I thought this shouldn't be missed and it didn't disappoint. It is around 4 km from Amritsar bus stand.
The kulchas are very crispy loaded with butter medium spiced served with tangy tamarind chutney with chopped onion. The crust if very crispy and flaky and stuffing is soft made of potato and cauliflower with freshly pound coriander seeds chilly and other spices. It was priced around 40rs very cheap as compared to what is offered. The right way to eat kulcha is you can press the kulcha from edges with your palm so that's the layering breaks if you eat this way the crispiness is retained intact.Don't expect more about the seating and ambience or theme. But as per me kulchas here was tastier than kulchas I had in other famous eateries in...
Read moreAll India Famous Amritsari Kulcha in Amritsar is a legendary spot that lives up to its name. Nestled in a modest corner of the city, this eatery attracts locals and tourists alike for one simple reason – its irresistibly crispy, buttery, and perfectly spiced kulchas. The menu is straightforward, usually offering a variety of stuffed kulchas like aloo, paneer, gobhi, and mix veg, all served with chana (chickpeas), tangy onion chutney, and a dollop of butter. The highlight is undoubtedly the kulcha itself – flaky on the outside, soft inside, and cooked in a traditional tandoor, giving it a smoky aroma and authentic taste.
The chole are rich and masaledar, complementing the kulchas perfectly. Service is fast and no-nonsense, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable given the taste and portion size. The place can get crowded, especially during breakfast and lunch hours, but the quick turnaround keeps things moving. Though the ambiance is basic and seating limited, the flavors more than make up for it. If you're in Amritsar, missing this would be a culinary mistake. It’s a must-visit for every street food lover and a true reflection of Punjab’s rich...
Read moreSeriously this point disappointed me a lot, I heard about this place a lot from many people and food bloggers and went there with so many expectations but i was totally disappointed. All India Famous Amritsar Kulcha located at Maqbool Road Amritsar it is around 3 kms far from Amritsar Railway Station. Last time when I was going there I missed this place but this time I managed to get the chance and after taking first bite of their Kulcha I feeled that Bhai Kulwant Singh Kulchiyan wale have much better taste than All India Famous Amritsar Kulcha.
They sell only 1 type of Kulcha which is Mixed Kulcha on other side bhai Kulwant Singh sells 4-5 types of Kulchas and the seating arrangements are also very good at Kulwant Singh as Compare to All India famous Amritsar Kulcha. If you go there keeping in mind any hygiene factor than don't go because you will disappointing seriously. So go there if really needed or you don't have any option and if you are near Golden temple then must visit Bhai...
