Baithak dhaba — Restaurant in Punjab

We were very hungry when we approached this place. The place looked dim and not so inviting from outside. However, since we couldn't wait to eat, we hesitatingly entered. We found a reasonably done up sitting place inside.

We were pleasantly surprised when the first item ie Tandoori Paneer Tikka! It was just yummy! Soft chunks of paneer with right amount of spices, perfectly cooked in a tandoor. This was followed by Tandoori chaap, Aloo Jeera, mixed vegetables, rotis, Dal Makhni and Jeera rice. All were cooked to perfection and tasted superb!

We ended this meal with matka lassi which was too good.

I wish, the owner had made the external look of the restaurant a little more inviting. Service was ok but, nothing...

Just tried their food after ordering from Swiggy and the food was so bad!! The tandoori roti was so damn thick and raw from the middle, they have posted picture of dry aloo mata on Swiggy but it had gravy and it only tasted of garlic and chilli. And who makes dal fry with sabut urad??!! I paid extra for sirka onion and guys, they messed that as well. They were fresh sirka onion; which means that they hadn't absorbed vinegar at all.
