The Reefer Café & Eatery — Restaurant in Punjab

As I reached The Reefer Café in a festive Sunday evening, the place seemed packed with chitter chatter and reserved tables, but in a special request I was fitted in with my little toddler and darling. I came down to order the Poutine with salsa and cheese, Peri Peri Cottage Cheese and Farmhouse pizza. Waiting as I was, the service seemed quick enough to soothe my appetite. The Peri Peri Cottage Cheese was served first with a siding of sautéed vegetables. Perfectly spicy, the dish seemed presentable and delectable all at the same time. Inventive the dish by name of Poutine, is nothing but a bunch of fries baked with your choice of sauce and cheese. Though the fries were baked with the topping of the sauce, they didn’t seem to loose their touch of crispiness which made them what they were. The Farmhouse Pizza was one dish that didn’t reach the mark of being exceptional, but did justice to being average. As for the beverages, we ordered the Frappe and Mint Mojito. A Café Frappe was one of the best that I have had in a city and the Mint Mojito also qualified for being above average. The Hakka Noodles were perfectly cooked with a nice balance of flavors and a good mix of vegetables, offering a delightful crunch in every bite. The seasoning was spot on, neither too bland nor overpowering.

The Pitcher Mojito was refreshing, with the mint and lime providing a great zesty touch. However, it could have been slightly more chilled for a truly rejuvenating experience.

The Gravy Manchurian was rich and flavorful, with soft and succulent Manchurian balls in a thick, savory gravy. It paired beautifully with the noodles, creating a harmonious combination.

The place looks great but the food is mediocre at best. Tried a few things- the BBQ wings were stale(possibly frozen) and had a weird aftertaste, the iced latte was too sweet even for a kid, the two tacos I ordered and my sandwich had the exact same base and were too saucy, I ordered two mains which were alright but they came with the exact same sides. It's ok if you want to click pictures of the food and post them on instagram or something. Not too sure if it qualifies as decent food.
