Bansal Amritsar Food Street — Restaurant in Punjab

I had the worst experience today at Bansal Amritsari Kulcha, VIP Road, Zirakpur.

I reached their shop at 9:05 AM and asked clearly how much time it would take to prepare a kulcha. They told me “maximum 10 minutes.” I even confirmed again, and they assured me it won’t take more than that.

Shockingly, even by 9:45 AM, I still hadn’t received my order. When I went to the counter, the staff was busy giggling with each other. They had no clue about my order and casually said, “5 more minutes.” To make it worse, the guy even asked me what I had ordered — he didn’t remember! I had to remind him that I ordered an Aloo Pyaaz Garlic Special Kulcha.

This shows the irresponsible and careless attitude of the staff. As a regular customer of Bansal Amritsari Kulcha, this was extremely disappointing. I swear I will never step into their shop again in my life.

I went there with high hopes, believing they serve authentic Amritsari Kulchas. However, the taste was quite different from what I expected. I could clearly make out the difference, as I’ve tried some of the well-known ones like Pehalwan Kulcha in Amritsar.

The outlet is located on the Lower Ground Floor. Cleanliness was lacking, the staff did not seem welcoming, and the taste of the kulchas was just average and lacked authentic flavors. The onion-imli chutney was also not up to the mark.

The kulchas were a delight to eat. So many varieties of kulcha in one restaurant was a special treat. I specially loved the "Paneer Kulcha" and though i couldn't manage to get the image of Kulcha as I was hungry but the quality and the taste of the kulchas you get here is none to others.
