Chawla² — Restaurant in Punjab

This had to be our worst eating experience in Chandigarh.

When we entered, no one was there to seat us. We picked a table, and tried to get a waiters attention, but their eyes kept sliding past us, pretending they didn't see us.

Finally someone came and smacked down two paper menus on the table, and left immediately. As soon as we sat down, we asked for a coke and a glass of warm water, rather than the cold water they were serving. The waiter said okay. We also ordered appetizers, naan, rice and curry all together right then, as it was hard to get hold of the servers.

Ten minutes later, he returned saying hot water wouldn't be possible as they couldn't heat the water. He brought one of the two appetizers we ordered.

Ten minutes after this, he picked up some left over chutney and onions from another table and gave it to us.

At this point, we still didn't have the masala papad or the coke we ordered.

Fourty minutes later, the rice, dal and naan came, after repeated follow up from our side. Still no sign of the masala papad or coke. We finally asked him what was taking so long, and he said it was being prepared. The coke too?, We asked. Finally he brought it over. No mention of the papad.

The food was bad. The naan was burned and had no flavour apart from raw garlic. It was served cold and rubbery. The rice was undercooked. The dal was passable. I'd review the masala papad, but I'm still waiting for it.

We went there hoping for some nice Punjabi cuisine. The ambience was bad, the service was miserable, and the food was either lost in the time space continuum or tasted bad.

1 Naan, 1 Paneer Tikka, 1 Jeera Rice and 1 Dal Makhani came to 800₹. Not counting the masala papad and coke that required so much special prep.

Monday 24july23 me and my friend visited there for spend some goodtym.. We order strong mugs and chicken tikka.. Wen i ordered a 3rd mug I notice bar tender was serving a waste beer to us wen i call the bar tender and ask him why u pouring a waste beer in the mug he just confusioned. I told him call the captain.. Captain said to us sir it was a bar tender fault we have stopped him many times but he always do this thing. So Be very care ful wenever you went to Chawala, s I felt very bad that guest is paying whole amount for their cheating. Shame on you guys.. Don't spoil the hospitality industry.. Please think about your owner reputation don't spoil.. Captain was really unprofessional and non serious about the complaint.. Sorry can't make a dead person alive.. Just remember. And stop cheating on Guest who came to you pay you...

Such a great name and great options for many of the foodies. But Really disappointed with their Zirakpur outlet. Tasteless food, thier staff need basic training of hospitality to talk to customer and what to do when a complaint show up. We are paying for food and want our food to be served perfactly, resturants are not obliging us by serving.

Will not go to chawala again and suggest every good food lover not to go there. Even their manager Mr Sanjay have no time to come out from his comfort zone to see the customer's complaints. Pricing are listed like a 4 Star hotel but service and attitude is like a cart-puller.
